Ahhh, I'm so curious / scared about Passer-by haha.That desert daze version of Passer-by hit me so hard and was initially the foundation for all of my internal hype for this record. I'll be more than happy to let the new version grow on me, but feels strange to think they would shrink it down / mellow it out.

Ive heard everything. I love the 3 singles and have loved all of the songs greatly since they debuted years ago. The people who haven't spoiled it for themselves yet cannot fathom how much of a treat they are in for.

Dragon Slayer is one of my fav Anco songs ever, period. Car Keys has gone through many changes but each one has been incredible. Another couple personal highlights are Royal & Desire, Cherokee. I don't really like Passer-by quite as much but *many* fans seem to love it a lot so far so I'd say you're most likely going to dig it. Not really any notable complaints... at all... it's just a fantastic freaking album. The singles choices kinda confused me because Cherokee has lead single energy but that's not really a real issue.

anyway i think Josh has repeatedly stated his discomfort over the years with the way some fans treat him like a meme so I don’t think that’s cool at all to do, real or not. part of why places like the reddit and mu are so awful to actually discuss the band because so much of this happens. its like reliving “this is why the band doesn’t post here anymore” over and over

hm yeah you're right. I've had international orders arrive freakishly fast but that was pre-pandemic and completely random. Fingers crossed anyway, and I've ordered the CD from JB too in case the LP is delayed

This person goes on about self respect and how this makes them feel, but did they consider how Deakin felt about them having an annoying meme regarding freebirding their music they put a lot of effort into? Perhaps Deakin feels like it is well within his self respect to point out to that person how annoying that shit his to him. If you respect someones music so much, stop consistently reducing them to a dumb meme to their face. Do that shit on the reddit board where none of them will see it if they have to. And honestly, if Deakin did say that, I applaud him, and to be honest, it wasn't really even that bad, just a snarky remark, maybe he said it with a wink. I swear, they have to be annoyed that so many AC fans act like 12 year olds. It is hard not to cringe going to a concerts sometimes and hearing some of the asinine stuff people shout out at the band. This kind of stuff is exactly why they don't post on the board anymore. However, this board is definitely solid now, and a lot of annoying people don't post here anymore. the worst concert experience of my life happened at a panda bear show. it was at union transfer in philly on the buoys tour, some guy kept shouting about noah’s dad. really insulting and bizarre stuff. at the end of the show he got in a fist fight with someone. he was standing right next to me, it made the night really weird

Probably the guy that stole Avey's notebook at the music box show. That sounds like a horrible experience though. I mean people shout weird stuff at bands all the time, but it can get excessive at Animal Collective shows I've been at. Even just people shouting their names at them makes me feel weird. DEAK! GEO! PANDA! AVEY! PLAY MY GIRLS! I mean, so many boots that are good are made worse by people shouting weird stuff during the set.
