Dunno how Noah fits on the next record, if we're to assume Deakin will okay a more prominent role. I mean yeah I'm sure there are plenty of ways it could work but I think a proper effort without him could be sweet. Eucalyptus, TR, music box stuff and even Suspend the Time sound worlds away from Noah's recent material

As they said, they might ditch some songs and they will mostly write new one, so it's not a problem. There are room for everyone in the band. It's not like Noah is going to put vocoder on defeat or something. He can always add something incredible to those already great songs.

Noah’s solo work seems to predict or mirror aesthetic and psychological traits of Animal Collective releases. Young Prayer and Sung Tongs share brittle yet playful approaches to acoustic innocence, Person Pitch and Merriweather Post Pavilion are sample-based mundane spiritual records, Tomboy and Centipede Hz fragment spirit and seek god inhaling sweat vapor in the dark, and Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper and Painting With hocket integration of identity and character with Platonic Forms.

My prediction: The next Animal Collective record with Noah will be autotuned Saturnian grace.

it's been confirmed they are regrouping as AC next year. I would bet good money on them touring.

To those of you that have heard both, is the original mastered Danse Manatee very different-sounding from the Rusty-mastered one that's available now? Assuming it's the Rusty master that's the widely-circulated version these days, that is.

Someone on the AC fb group said that they talked to Panda and he said he's listened to Tomboiled and the also the fanmade Grim Reaper mix (think its called Reaper Madness?). Kinda surprising but cool that he would check those out
