Hey y'all. Loong time lurker, been lurkin' on this board and earlier boards since the SJ days.. Thought i'd join cause I'm super stoked about painting with, and curious about the capacity this board has to engage with the band even though the members don't seem to be directly communicating with the collected animals anymore. Anyway, the samples are next level; vertical, lying in the grass, natural selection, natural selection and spilling guts all seem like they could be new classics for me. Thinkin the "boys latin" thing is one of the most next level abilities that Animal Collective have developed, so symbiotic. Love that they are still working to evolve their sound. And sonic boom is not deakin, duh!
