Back on topic, I must have listened to the samples three hundred times already and I just noticed that the kick drum in On Delay kicks in double time when avey starts singing. Blew my mind

On Delay has the potential to be one of the really, truly great AC songs of all time. Hocus Pocus sounds so complicated to sing live, so does Summing the Wretch. Natural Selection reminds me of the vocal swells from Leaf House. Lying in the Grass has the same silly and endearing qualities that Rosie Oh has. The ending of the Vertical sample is so crazy, I really wanna hear what happens thee. Also the "way-way ba-ack" part of Spilling Guts is so sweet. Isn't that the shortest song?

I might need to cut back on the samples because I am getting used to them at this length and when I hear the full songs I am going to be expecting it to change where the samples do, haha

On Delay is the one that most definitely sticks out the most! !! I can't wait to hear the full song!

From the samples I'm most excited to hear Spilling Guts. My interest in the other songs always change and some songs switch positions in which I'm excited most for but spilling guts has always stayed number one. I don't know what it is about it. It's a great groove especially with those bending notes

goddammt you guys. because of the sample talk I get so hyped that I need to listen to them again. 4th time, here I come..

In retrospect, having listened, I am disappointed that the samples became available. With that said, I only have my own self control to blame. The samples have made me very stoked, but to anyone who hasn't listened to them yet, just don't. It's gonna be good and its gonna be worth the wait.

Listened to the samples a handful of times when they were released but I've been patient since. Practicing the art of self control not to click play every day lol

it's actually nice to feel the samples grow in only 4 listens. the 1st time i was disappointed, then with each listen it grew and the last time was already a satisfying experience, even though they're only 30 sec bad quality samples. so I've become even more psyched for this record. that's a good thing, but I do have to control myself to keep it at this tempo, like one listen per 2 weeks or so

Summing the Wretch, Spilling Guts,Hocus Pocus and Bagels in Kiev and On Delay sound amazing. btw Natural Selection really reminds me of Nirvana, really cool

Ya.. it's kool that some of you don't want to listen to the samples, I dig that.... but I did.. and enjoyed them. they will immediately be forgotten about once the full album is released. . I can't understand how you'd let a 30 clip ruin the experience for you? But if that's what you think will happen , oh well. The idea that listening to those samples will ruin the feel of the album is a personal feeling... not a universal fact. Don't speak for me.. and don't act like your one upping anyone either, because I can careless if you've heard them or not.

I think some people mean listening to the samples ruins part of the surprise of brand new songs. And I agree, it does. But I don't really care about the surprise as much as I care about the songs themselves. I'm not disappointed to have listened to the samples just like I'm not disappointed to have listened to the boots before MPP, Tomboy, CHz, Slasher Flicks, and PBvsGR.

Not to defend myself, but in the interest of discussion, my rationale behind not listening to the samples is that I think it would just be weird to listen to these short snippets of the songs out of context. I'm really excited to listen to the full songs and in the context of the album. While listening to the samples now wouldn't really ruin my enjoyment of the songs later, it would take away some of the surprise and the joy of listening to the whole thing fresh when it comes out, as others have said.

Also, I know listening to 30-second samples without being able to hear the whole thing until February is just going to give me bigger blue-balls than I already have waiting for this thing to drop. YMMV.
