This made me laugh.

Part of the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, the 17-minute portrayal of teenager Noah Lennox's unraveling love life feels eerily familiar, as well as a sign of things to come.

today i was talking with the elementary school art teacher at my school before i went to xc practice and i was wearing the light blue "challenge of outer space/A C" shirt and he commented on the design. i told him it was an animal collective shirt and all the sudden he goes off about how much he likes the band (but has never seen their visual aspects because he pirated most of their stuff lol) and how much he enjoys bands named after animals, specifically grizzly bear.

That is awesome Clams. Wish I could say something like that.

Only cool thing I can say is that some kid wrote an article on what to listen to in our school paper, like 2011, and that was Merriweather Post Pavilion... a little late pal ? But I'm over here, jumping in my shorts, going to everyone, shoving the papers in their face, and they just tell me to shoo off. Whatever society fuck you and your Chief Keef shit !

heh, i wish my teachers were that cool. one time my theory of knowledge teacher (who always heard me ranting about ac) asked me if they were "some kind of weird furry shit" (i assume because of their stage names / the masks in their early career?). to this day i have no idea whether or not he actually listens to them. i think i got him into Battles, though, so he didn't turn out too bad.

I still stand by my prediction of single/s and album announcement late this year with the album early-mid 2014 for Panda. I think Avey's will be almost spontaneous like Down There around november/december this year, with his other album during the first half of next year. Who knows what's happening with Deakin, i'm guessing next year as well. I guess maybe new AC live material by the end of 2014 is a possibility with a 2015 or even 2016 release for the next full length. That's just a hypothetical of what i think will probably happen.

don't think there's any way we'll find out what's going on until he decides to update us though, I'm just gonna forget about it again till then

I feel bad for Deakin, that guy doesn't seem to get anything done with all the extra pressure and expectations on him now because of that Kickstarter. It's like he has a really hard time finalizing his music. He said so himself that his music keeps changing and he moves on by then. I feel like it won't ever happen unless he rushes an album and just get it out before that feeling goes away, but that guy is like a perfectionist. That Kickstarter seems to have a negative mark on it too, I know I wouldn't be able to do it after all that trouble.

Does anyone know what AC went by for each release before they were "AC"? Was Campfire Songs the first release as Animal Collective?

Spirit - Avey Tare and Panda Bear
Danse - Avey Tare, Panda Bear and Geologist
Hollinn - ???
Campfire - ???
HCTI - ????
