I've been listening to the samples way too much. I don't really feel bad about it though. My first listen obviously won't be as special as it could have been, which does suck, but it's not like it's going to affect the ultimate quality of the songs. My opinion of this album years down the road won't be any different just because I overplayed some 30 second samples.

if ac streamed the new album on xmas or new years eve, I would be so happy.

come on... they're little tastes. it's like looking at the pictures of an art exhibition on the museum website a few weeks before going. it's fun. i can't wait to hear what Summing the Wretch transmogrifies into, just like i get excited to see the big Jim Shaw New Museum installation from the promo posters..

just listened to the samples for the first time, cause i stumbled on a link, and my mind was completely blown. glad i gave a listen. sounds INSANE ! So good. they weren't kiddin' bout those vocal trade-offs! Probably not going to listen to them again though. Cheers everyone.

Same, but that would leave nearly two months between the stream and album release, which seems like a weird move to me. You never know tho.

He was oddly straightforward with it but yeah it sounds like something is happening on Christmas and it isn't pure speculation. I think it's Greaper related though because he referred back to the fat lady singing I.e. that era is over. Might be instrumentals. I'm too lazy to find the quote sorry

eh, i listened to the samples like three or four times when they were up but haven't sought them out since they were taken down. i don't remember them too well at this point, but it was cool to get a taste of the record. don't really feel bad or anything because i preordered the vinyl--plus, most of you guys will probably listen to the freebird

but yeah, they were shit quality, so i don't recommend seeking em out. hoping for a xmas eve surprise like MPP hahaha

Doubt it will happen. MPP had a January 6th release date, Painting With's is a month & a half later. Feel free to prove me wrong though!

yeah I didn't have my comp when it freebirded. But I did get it later that year, summer of 09. Still going strong, though I think the motherboard is in the middle of dying.
