my thoughts about the airport thing:
i think it would be more cool if the album started to appear in other random places, like a mall in nyc, a school in lisbon, a park in osaka... it would give a more universal vibe to the whole thing, and i guess it would made more sense with the floridada lyrics, but they just did the one in baltimore and well....okay

heard the 30 second samples of the tracks, probably the best thing to be even more excited for february but not enough to feel like its spoiled.

i think people need to relax with attacking the people posting their opinion on anything negative. no one is demanding anything (as far as i can tell) and no one is coming off as entitled either, imo. 1/4 of a year is a long time to wait after an announcement. it is that simple. and some people arent happy about it, and that is their right.

that said, im sure the band has a few things planned in the coming weeks and months leading up to the release of the album. let's just wait and see what they are...

I agree that verbally attacking and instigating posters like TapirMache and catbus93 for voicing their opinions needs to be toned down. It does no one good to perpetuate negativity and aggression, especially towards newcomers. However there have been plenty of posters who have done a nice job at civilly arguing against them and I definitely agree with what they have had to say to defend themselves and the band

Hell yeah. They've basically reinvented themselves on every release, so I am very excited to see what they have in store for us this time.

hearing those mechanical stereo-geo-fiddles in the second verse of Floridada so clearly now - took a little bit to unearth the minutia in the pop overload. very excited for how they're gonna mix and meld all the intricacies in the album.
