i like king's walk a lot but it does feel weird as a closer to me unless they beefed it up in the studio. always felt like an interlude between two big tracks

"this is a gun" i think was exclusive to the 2019 shows, whereas "crack open another beer" has been in every performance before and after recording
but also "crawling from the serpent" is a totally studio-specific lyric and it looks like the broke zodiac chorus lyrics are gonna be slightly different from all the live versions so looks like anything can happen in this twisted world

my guess is late august -- history shows Domino likes to drop singles one month apart, and in the case of IIN? it was exactly a month apart.

Going through the assembled lyrics today and "I was a thief. I faked a call. Emptied a bar in Baltimore. Sat on the stairs, where somebody swears, ‘Things will get better in Baltimore'" is such an incredible and evocative verse. I can't wait to cry to the studio recording of this

Yeah, I first noticed the "somebody swears things will get better in Baltimore" line when I saw them in DC during their last tour and instantly got chills. It's just perfect.
