hey y'all, feeling really not confident vocally to do my own vox on Crosswords, feelin like i just can't do them justice. i know that's like the last one we need before we can send it off, is anyone down to do vocals? i can send an instrumental tonight

i would do vocals but i know nothing about technology lol... would i be able to record vocals thru my built in mic on my mac, or would that sound shitty? if it'll sound shitty then i'll pass, i'd wanna do your cover justice, seeing as that instrumental snippet sounds so cool!

if you get close enough to the mic it'll sound alright but a bit tinny. used that for a while before buying a mic. your choice, though!

I finally got around to listening to most of this thread and you guys make such fucking good covers. A lot of these are really really on point

i sent meysell my vocal track, and once his cover is done (it sounds like it is 95% there) then there are no more pending covers so there's no reason not to send everything!

nah i thought my mic would be alright but there's some weird corruptions going in in it. doubt i'll fix it in time, you carry on with the other vox

Cool yeah you did a great job with the instrumental! Maybe you could just overlay our vocals or something else creative with it so it's only one version. Your call though.

wow that's great, i love the slight updates you made to the instrumental. i also love what you did in the second half when u brought in dud's vocals for harmonies! sounds great! lol i kinda wish u had more of dud throughout the first part to mask my screw ups. maybe im just rly harsh on my own vocals tho. but this is ur baby, and im honored to simply have taken part in it, awesome job all around.

The timing on the bass synth part sounds off a lil tho

yeah, he'll need some lossless files - i guess we just wait on his word now?

yeah i guess best thing would be to collect them into one file and send him that, but with lossless files that will be huge, dunno the best course of action here?

can a CA google drive account hold all of the lossless files?

yeah i'd think so. I think they give you 10 gigs for free. or everyone could send their wavs to whoever is organizing this (looks like dud?) and they could zip em up and just put em up on mediafire and send that to sb?

1. i know nothing about this kind of stuff, so i definitely want someone else to take over at this point, i just compiled that list

2. i feel like not that many people check this thread anymore (including people that have contributed), so maybe we could get a mod/admin or whoever on board to make a stickied post at the top of the forum that says 'if you submitted a cover for CAVSGR, send your loseless file to ______ by (date)!' and then that person can send the stuff he receives to sonic in one big folder

we could make a shared Dropbox folder and make it kind of a submission box - seems easy enough!
