Yeah it totally sounded like Panda but also recording quality sounded much better than Campfire Songs. I'm listening in one earbud at work so kinda hard to tell. If so that was great but all too brief

What I'm confused about is that they say it's from the "1999" takes for CF. Pardon me but wasn't the album recorded in 2001? Has it ever been confirmed that the songs were recorded or even written earlier than that?

it said "aborted first Campfire Songs recording session" so I guess they tried once in 1999 and then came back to it for the real deal in 2001

Oh yeah I don’t think it does. In my mind the chord progression, reverb type, and emotive force makes the song sound proto-Visionaire. Don’t want to start any rumors.
