There's one on diversy like two blocks away from a brown/purple line stop, and conchord is right off the blue. I'm aiming to be there early enough to grab lunch at nandos and skip on over to conchord via L. if you're driving its not a far drive at all, like 10/15 minutes in ideal traffic

I'm really excited after reading that union transfer article. After revisiting Floridada, it's really grown on me. I absolutely love the second chorus at 2:30 ''Where's that bridge?....".

I did have a question about the Amazon samples, I wonder if anyone can help me out with this.

The third sample from the right (If I remember correctly), there is the song with quite a lot of the Avey-Panda vocal-hocketing. Can someone tell me the track name for that? I mention it because it's the only sample I didn't like, as it reminds me of an early 2000's cartoon theme-song (in a bad way). Anyway what are your thoughts on that one? Any one else kind of left with a similar dislike of that track? I think it had a more tribal-edm percussive element as well

they're gonna announce more tour dates in the future and I would imagine they plan on coming to Canada if they did on the C Hz tour

I find that critically I agree with a lot of these. As a fan enjoy the song but..... truly nothing new in terms of AC and certainly not in terms of greater music. Now a fan forum is probably the stupidest place to look for objective criticism and I think we're all here because we consider the band the boys the AC to be ~family~ ...that is.... sometimes you Love them before you Like them. Sometimes grandpa makes racist remarks at dinner.

But listen people this fanboy right here preordered the album and bought tickets for like 4 seats on the Hype Train and is dying for that freebird. True though those words of Claire Lobenfeld: " They were the coolest band, then they became ~The Coolest Band~ and now they are self-parody. But I don’t want to live in that world. What I love most about this forum has gotta be PeteK's continuous input......just an incredibly valuable inside source made doubly sweet by the man's poetry and casual participation in this world of artless and formal music labels.

Those reviews are so shitty. "Hipster Beach Boys ripoffs with short attention spans" is such a trite criticism and also not accurate, feel like there's definitely more to the track. It's not surprising though, haters gon hate

Yes, I agree a bit with her too. I like the song though. But as you said, there's nothing new and that's not as revolutionary as their 2000 - 2010 era.

Question for those of you who have gone to an AC show on back-to-back nights (or shows on two close dates): do they change up their setlist at all between shows, even those that are only a day or two apart? I'm considering going to the NH and Boston shows, but wasn't sure if they usually repeat the same setlist for a few shows in a row before changing it up.

Usually if it's the same city for 2 nights or more there will be variations in the set list. But it is going to depend on if they stick with the same exact set like they did for the early CHz shows or if they will play the songs in a different order each night.

Yes, the ratings are stupid. But I agree a bit with the last review. I miss the complexity of the songs they made before CHz.

Those reviews make it seem like they listened to half of the song once and then never listened again.

i agree that those track reviews are unnecessarily harsh. it's funny how one person is stuck on how animal collective used to be "the cool band" and now they aren't anymore. these reviews to me seem clearly people who are trying to gauge what is "cool" and basing their opinions just on that. like, it doesnt surprise me that these sorts of blogs would not like this song because it is very silly and over the top, but this group of people specifically really have no shame in making it obvious that they are trying SO hard.

Not even gonna waste my breath on those reviews
