like for sj, they got in that emotional, aggro guitar pop, near emo zone, for mpp it was that beach boys harmonies/counterpoint synth pop dream drone zone, or that 'in the paint' epic jam soulful dark vibe like for chz. whats the new sweet spot?

All these descriptions of Painting With are making me think of The Residents' Duck Stab/Buster & Glen - the album where they took all their weirdness and constrained it to standard-length 3-minute pop ditties. Still completely bizarre and alien but now in the pop format. Not to mention The Residents are a prime example of Dadaism in music.

Havent listened to snippits yet, probably won't. I hope they do a stream of it, I really loved listening to Centipede that way.

i guess im the only one whose been going thru a minor/major depression since the thanksgiving airport stream becus of a seeming physical dependence on expected freebird/stream tht just rlly hasnt been satiated by floridada/amazon samples at all and whose personal life has been drastically to slightly effected in an adverse way by release anxiety even tho hes in his 20s, not that it would be normal for a yonger person rlly
