I mean... it does seem like one of the weaker tracks. its cool in that its like long and kinda dreadful. but give me Meet the Light Child or Ahh Good Country or In the Singing Box any day over that in terms of longer Danse tracks

The Living Toys was actually one of the first songs from Danse I got really into (other than Essplode of course). Eventually I realized that Meet the Light Child is the true masterpiece of the album.

As one of the few people who think that the painting with tour is some of their best material ever I can confirm they played Ahhh Good Country once as a transition but I can’t remember when. Also according to nyctaper they also used PB’s Drone as a transition song but I’ve never discovered any footage or audio of this

I actually agree that The Living Toys is their 187th best song. I quite like the vocals and like the sound of the guitar but there's nothing dynamic about it. It sounds like it's a builder at first but you quickly realise it's only drifting. I've no issue with that idea but it's an unpleasant shrill drift.

living toys is based. i love dat bass that comes in. its a cool creepy atmospheric 12 bar thing. maybe its an east coast thing nah but really it makes me think of the woods

also i agree hounds of bairro is super underrated

worst track from me has to be kinda bonkers. im sure there are worse tracks but thats the one that has made me the most embarrassed to be a fan. maybe when im old like them id mellow out on it.

im actually super into all those mellow weird acuostic jams on crack box . that stretch from jungle heart to oh sweet. hey friend especially i love. i think rtheyre real interesting songs n really melodically great too

kinda bonkers is kiiiinda bad. the main loop is kinda chill, and sounds like something panda bear would maybe put in recycling bin, but in a good way. but ya it seems like a really "low brow" track where they're sorta catering so a certain type of fan. which like sure.

I remember hearing it played at the movie theater's bar I worked at when it dropped in New Orleans and I was like "huh... ya honestly you CAN play that in the middle of a day in the bar of a theater inside of a mall"




um spilling guys, goalkeeper, on delay and bagels are all the best songs from the era. hounds/gnip gno too a lil.

kinda bonkers is good i think u guys are just big meanieheads (no offense), but i do agree goalkeeper is one of the best pw songs, theres so much to listen for in that song and i havent even heard the doc emerich sample yet
