Can I be the manager?

Some of you animals are crazy smart and have specially evolved ears and brains. I love this idea of a podcast pulling some our stories and dreams and ideas together, in some sort of abstract conversation. And the one song idea is an intriguing format, I love how it was estimated that we could do it for years.

you should do some lesser loved songs first while the podcast finds its footing. don't wanna waste the first episode on alvin or loch raven or whatever

Just gonna say that I'm still very much interested in being a part of this.

My pitch for the first episode would just be, why do you love Animal Collecitve? I think it would be cool to hear some ppl just broadly give their perspective on what makes this band special and what keeps us coming back. Maybe that's too general/open-ended but I think it could serve as a good intro and establish some context before jumping into episodes about specific songs/albums/performances

I am planning on recording this week as soon I can find the time. My weekend was crazy busy, had to work the whole weekend and then was also seeing the boys play Sung Tongs and then a MBV show the next night.

So, my plan for the first ep is talking origins of the band, origins of my fandom and the fandom of whoever else is on the show and for the first song, talking about Penny Dreadfuls and the new super old version that was recently released on Geo's radio show. Might play some other Atuomine songs as well.

I can't believe my original concept has been steamrolled after all the progress I made.

No, I'm just being daft.

Real talk: I'm really pleased that you've run with this, and you'll do a brilliant job. The fact is that I would just love such a podcast to exist but I neither have the setup nor the ability to commit to it with how my work life tends to go. Also, probably 95% of people who would contribute are based in the US so I'm sure that would also be a limiting factor at either end.

I'd love to be involved at some point, though, if I could put myself down for Lablakely Dress!

Stan, couldn't you get in on the recording just by phone? I think some of the podcasts I listen to have hosts all over the place. Not totally sure how that would really work but worst case speaker phone and record button would do it.
I mean if we've resorted to recording music playing in an airport bathroom.... sky's the limit.
