As I say, they're from America. It's easiest for them to play in America. Most fans are in America. I'll take the hit. If some people can't make it, that doesn't mean it shouldn't happen. Presumably we'd have to pay for Noah's flights and accommodation, too.

Fun fact for new members: the Bowery 2009 show presale was a secret CA only password that Avey gave us. I think that'll be the closest we ever get to a private CA show...but we can dream.

I'm sure it was Red Bull, unless I'm confusing that with a later show.

Great idea to get corporate sponsorship, by the way. A friend of mine organised a music festival in Africa when he was eighteen, he got Guinness to sponsor it and fifty thousand people turned up. I'll ask him for some help with this.

It was actually a Nike Sportsware event at Art Basel Miami 2008

lol no. You don't say Macbeth in theaters...you didn't say Miami here in 2008/2009 without virtual anger/tears/groans of some sort. We had no information about the Miami show outside of two obscure and short video clips. It was a frustrating year of mystery on CA until Noah's ATP 2009 set which ended up being the same group of songs.

Oh fuck what about a private stream from their practice space or something lol

That might be interesting

This is sounding like a very good concept Hash!! It is ecologically sound, then also it is not limited to where people are on the planet, and, would be available archived somehow for people who might not be able to watch it live!

Something streamed from their own personal space would allow them to be even more comfortable than they might be at concerts.

I think it would be meaningful/wise that it would not be presented as though it is required to be a situation where different songs would be expected.

If they themselves were excited about trying out different songs, new or old etc, it would also allow them to restart any songs/ come back to songs later on, without feeling like the tension of doing that while they are on stage. :) :)

Okay, I understand what you meant now. But I have no idea what Stan is on about. Unless he's taking the piss.

Though I think a more appropriate analogy would have been something like All Lights Fucked On the Hairy Amp Drooling or something like that.

Cool, in that case it's basically down to whether the band feel like it's worth doing such an exclusive thing simply because we raised money for it...

Also if it's new material I definitely would understand if there's tension there about showing off things that are usually personal and secret to them at that point in the process

I'd say if we're actually going to try to do something like this we should at least wait until there's mention of a new studio album. According to the latest interviews, a new AC album isnt in the works yet. It'd be silly to ask for a show now

I have an idea. We could do what Ween fans did in '03 when Ween did a request concert for fans and streamed it on the net. Just do a poll of a dozen or so songs and vote to see which ones top the list.

an all requests live for animal collective would be beyond amazing...even hearing acoustic versions of songs would be beyond amazing (like that one for rev green from the strawberry jam promo vid which is amazing). that shit would definitely have alvin row on it..id use some bots to put sponge luke or la rapet too...itd be risky business actually
