Ya Cuckoo was a really big draw for me when i got into them during sj era. feel like Fireworks has almost become underrated since it was live-retired in 09 but i guess its impossible for it to evr actually be underrated..

i second Unsolved Mysteries big time, and also Fickle Cycle. all of ODDSAC maybe? esp What Happened. like Mr. Fingers is def mind-blowing, along with a lot of em, but What Happened is beautiful and i feel like i don't see much hype for it

i like mercury man a lot too and it was prbly my favorite song of early chz tour and then it disappeared live in '12 which was a bummer

I think Mercury Man's great too!
I don't know if I joined too late to check out any discussion, but I only got into Pullhair Rubeye recently and it is all so good. Especially Lay Lay Off, Faselam. Not sure if underrated though

one of my faves too.

flesh canoe has always reminded me of no more sorry by my bloody valentine.

unsolved mysteries is one of the highlights of sj. no more runnin is probably underrated but someone mentioned it already, hard to tell which ones would be underrated, but what about bees? it might be my fave track from feels.

mr. fingers/what happened are most definitely their most underrated... since most "AnCo" fans think chz was the follow-up to mpp LOL or worse Painting With.

If you alter a sample so that an average listener cannot hear any substantial similarities between your work and the sample, there's no violation of the law.

Really??? Are you sure? I always thought it was Panda... Maybe the visuals during it psyched me out

Whaddit I Done is definitely the most underrated for me. The song makes me tear up every time I hear it, and it's a perfect end to a beautiful album imo. I have no idea why so many fans of ST and AnCo in general despise it. Its not like Whaddit I Done is the first and only song where they used some wacky vocal effect.

Yeah, I absolutely adore it. I love the last three songs and find it baffling/frustrating when people say the record loses steam after We Tigers. Whaddit I Done is unique. Weird vocal effect which scratches a very particular itch but the delayed 'stabs' are also really weird and cool and addictive. I always want to make those BRRRR BRRRR BRRRR sounds, it's such an unusual collection of textures.

And as Vic said earlier, Visiting Friends is wonderful. Took me ages to get into it, I thought it was aimless but when I finally sat down with it, I realised it's got so many shifting textures and dynamic. Easily one of the most underrated, even if not on here.

Agree with all of this. Visiting Friends is one of my absolute favorite AC songs, and their crowning achievement of that era of their career imo

Also, to me, the real meat of Sung Tongs happens after Visiting Friends. We Tigers to the end is so wonderfully woozy. I didn't think for once that it lost steam, nor did I realize people thought that until I started posting here haha

Very hard to tell if an AC song is under-rated in this place, because it's full of fans and if someone drops a title saying is under then there will be people showing love to that song. If I remember well, we did a poll 1 or 2 years ago to rate AC's discography track by track, that might show what's the status in CA's Under-Rated and Over-Rated Universe.

oh shit that reminds me of I'm Your Eagle Kisser, which I would say is prob underrated solely bc it's one of Avey's best vocal performances and there are probably many AC fans who haven't heard it

I'd agree with most of that. Def think la rapet is the most underrated song on spirit though. honestly, everyone on here probably loves it as much as i do, i just don't see it talked about very often. also, i'd argue jimmy raven / living toys is more underrated than meet the light child

the dublab version of Always You is probably underrated, that song is nuts. complete opposite of the acoustic version in the best way possible. Couldn't find it on youtube just now, sum1 should upload it

Can't agree with you guys more. My official list would be

1. Fickle Cycle
2. Cuckoo Cuckoo
3. The Softest Voice
4. No More Runnin
5. Street Flash (if thats underrated) or Unsolved Mysteries/Winter Wonderland

yeah thats a stretch at the end but i bet if i took more time thinking the list would be too long
