So if we intend on buying a weekend camping pass do we also have to add a car pass to the purchase if we're driving up?
Edit: just saw that car passes are required for campers, almost more stressed about those selling out than camping tickets!

you don't have to, but apparently there are a limited amount of car passes?
I could only imagine 20 cars fitting in front of the venue, so I'm assuming they're going to have something set up..
if either of us end up without one we can work out a carpool

Yeah, I was definitely thinking a carpool / road trip would be sweet (not to mention more cost efficient and better for the environment!)

So are you guys concerned the weekend passes will sell out super fast on Wednesday? I'm not too worried about car logistics, I'll park wherever and hike it as long as I can experience the weekend camping with the ultimate chiller squad.
Also, any idea how much the weekend camping pass will be?

I am going. I've got a couple AC savvy pals that I can maybe get in on this thing...If not, I am buying a plane ticket to SF. If anyone could help me out there I'd love you forever, but I'll be getting a rental car otherwise.
My God, this is a beautiful idea. THANK YOU AC AGAIN FOR ANOTHER BRILLIANT SCHEME

I feel like they'll have a PW set and a rarities/oldies set. Or maybe some PW in both and old stuff scattered throughout. I also feel like Deakin will show up.

fernwood is where i stayed when i went to big sur. it's really cool and there's awesome stuff and trails all around. i stayed in one of the cabins that are right on the road, so i wasnt down in the camp area. it's pretty crazy that they're having this there, it was a really small set up. probably will be a pain logistically for anyone going, just a heads up, but the show should be worth it once you're settled.

im down to grab a forest cabin or motel room if they're available...might as well if im busting out for this thing...
if not, ill settle for whatever fits a group of 4
and the adventure tents could be a nice inbetween, we'll see how it goes
ps i was at the merriweather show in 09, only had my car to sleep in after bad tripping at the after party...walked in so much darkness on lucy back to the car, phew, preparing for a doozie!

oh shit I think I remember reading about that on the last forum..
We walked out past the library into the forest before their set, and just as things started to feel weird
arpeggios could be faintly heard through the trees. I turned to my friend and said "OH SHIT #1"
and we ran back through the forest as fast as we could. Still hands down best show ever.
All that fucking fog man, especially when grouper was playing..

I think we're springing for camping + car pass. A cabin would be sweet but given the invisible pricing for this event I'm just gonna shoot for what I'm guessing is the cheapest option!
