It terms of sheer sound, tempo, and atmosphere? "Spirit They've Vanished" and "Winter's Love" (especially its second half) comes to mind as two songs with a massive disparity. But I think you could use the entirety of Prospect Hummer and Fall Be Kind to emphasise their massive range on a macrobial level.

Very interesting. I see where you're coming from. 'Spirit' is rather sad, nostalgic and bleak with a droney vibe and 'Winter's Love' is cozy, but energetic and exciting with a sound that pairs great with repeat listens.
As far as releases go, I find Prospect Hummer and TTG have a lot of differences

Another good choice, as Fall Be Kind has a lot of romantic, vibrant moments stuffed into the atmospheric electronic work whereas Transverse is sort of chaotic and doesn't focus on melody very much compared with other things they have done in the last 10 years.

Victor Borge is also a spooky skele, so I think I could work that in at the last minute.

been thinking about this one a bit now and i think de soto de sun(especiallt the crack box version) is one of the most polarizing AC tracks..you could see them experimenting more with structure and working as a group.... beginning to become more concise. one of my favorites. also really stands out amongst the other greats for more technical reasons, like the recording and vocals

When you say "polarising", do you mean a lot of people hate it? Because even those I've talked to who aren't fond of Campire Songs seem to like it.

Yeah, but I guess that album in general is, innit? Which is so weird considering it was recorded well before Young Prayer and Sung Tongs. And it doesn't even sound a lot like those albums.

heres a good discussion topic, which songs show the greatest contrast within themselves? like which songs show so many of the various AC styles. much of hcti comes to mind when thinking of this. hey light has so many various parts molded together, it often sounds like different songs all in one.

Have they ever performed an Oddsac song live? I know they never released it with audio only because they feel it should be coupled with Danny's visuals, but have they ever took parts of the album/film and done them at a concert? "Fried Camp" comes to mind just because of that fucking intense dynamic shift halfway through.

Avey, Deakin and Kria played a show together in 2008. Proto versions of Urban Creme and Mr. Fingers appear in it. Take a listen if you haven't yet -
