i think me and my fiancé are gunna go. this lineup is insane.

trying to debate whether or not to make the trip from as far north as possible.

I was set on it at first, but then they announced their show at first avenue.

such a good lineup though...ugh

Can folks who have been there before tell me a bit about the show? Any info at all really. Its been a while since I've been to a festival show and I dunno exactly what to expect. Thanks

what do you wish to know? about the festival grounds or what?

if you're not camping it might be wise to bring a towel or a mat or something to sit down on if you wanted to take a break from walking around or standing up. something you don't have an issue throwing away or getting really muddy. i feel like it always rains around that time of year and last year it was reallllll muddy at the fest so rain boots are always good to bring. save up some money for food if you plan to eat. security is real tight about letting outside food in- i got an apple confiscated last year which was lame. those are my tips, other than that bring a smile and have a good time!

you can bring in a water bottle or a container as long as it's empty upon entering

also there are water stations and water is free

I went in 2014 and brought like 2 kilos of mangos and security didn't care, but they did make my friend empty out his camelpak (which admittedly was full of vodka).

you can sort the bands by date they are playing now. AnCo and Brian Wilson are playing Saturday, thats gonna be an awesome day.

happy to see that AC is playing last after Brian Wilson. That means we'll probably be getting closer to a 90 min set instead of a 60 minute one.

also, no real conflicts for me, but I may have to skip Woods so I don't lose my spot at the reverb stage.

I'm going to try real hard to go the the Saturday show. I'm a little broke right now cuz of surgery but I'm going to try my hardest to go. Anyone from Austin going up there that day that might need a bit of extra gas money??

Just throwing this out there...I will pay a reasonable price plus extra for pain and suffering in exchange for an Animal Collective poster. I'm local, too, so no shipping. Just can't make it right now.

my experience with the levitation/psych fest posters is this: even if they sell out at the fest the levitation website will have reprinted them six months later OR they have backstock and will sell them on the site for a discounted price... the only thing is you have to wait for them to get restocked through their website
