down there always reminds me of delivering pizzas when I worked at pizza hut. I had that in my car for ages. that was a really really weird/scary time in my life - I WAS down there - and listening to it now it brings back those memories. I still love it and blast it every now and then, and sometimes it makes me feel good that I came out the otherside :)

this isn't a memory but just a place I feel taken to..

listening to de soto de son is so soothing for me.. it makes me feel like I'm walking on a dark, moonless, humid night with candles or torches around me, maybe near the ocean or wetlands. and friends are nearby and the place is new so it feels special and mystical. and I find a big moth or a praying mantis to look at and get lost in the little things it does. I wish I could live in this song.

Dropped LSD with a fellow AC head on vacation in OBX, NC. I will forever associate a dark beach with Safer+Loch Raven. We listened to them back-to-back walking down the shoreline. Sheer Magic.

bumpin this because i just remembered a lil memory

some months ago, my bf and i got a really nice hotel room for the night and took some mushrooms. i brought along these cozy string lights that had these paper star shaped lantern type things over the bulbs. at the end of the night, had all the lights turned off besides those and me and my bf just laid in the big puffy hotel blankets and cuddled. we were listening to music and flesh canoe came on and i started to sing along with it as i snuggled him close and i took a strand of his hair and plucked it with the song lyric.

really nice memory and im glad i remembered it, warms my heart

My strongest memories for some reason are always associated with tripping.

Street Flash for the first time after eating a bunch of mushrooms. At night, in a packed car, driving to the beach. I remember like... The rhythm of the guitar pushing the lights past the car. While one of the dudes in the car was having like a mental breakdown and crying all over himself. It was amazing, for me anyway.

Bros, copied to a cassette and coming out of a shitty boom box in the middle of the woods, on acid, around the campfire. I couldn't stop smiling. Everyone was having such a great time that night.
