Good to see Panda playing guitar again. Track list seemed to match what he posted on Twitter best I can tell. Enjoy the recording!

wonder if he is gonna stick with this.. hopefully someone records.
guess it's this. Digging Buoys here. Token way different too. Really leaning into stupid-mode simple drum track accompaniment. cool.
2nd track has this janky guitar but I kinda dig it. Like a kid trying to play rockabilly lol

Wow thanks so much! Of the new tracks, i really dug ends meet, religious bop, and s of e. The other two were a little more difficult to follow on first listen but I’m sure I’ll get into them.
New versions of buoys and token were fun too

I can do a minor EQ and split the tracks unless anyone else is up to the task and beats me to it

Here's a split & tagged version (assuming the new tracks are in the same order from Noah's tweet):

I did a little EQ and stereo imaging to hopefully help with clarity

What's that new part in Song for Ariel? Has he done that before, or is this new?
I dig it.

only halfway through this set and i'm feeling spoiled.
buoys as a "start of something new" in the pb timeline makes a lot of sense with the new material, all the new songs feel like extensions of that album in terms of that deep, watery vibe. if buoys was the coast, this is a few leagues under. really excited to see how these evolve.

Thinking about the fact that if he mounts a tour in this set up there is a very real possibility that we could hear some awesome versions of person pitch and dare I say it, young prayer material

see i was about to say the opposite (kind of), which is that it suggests how differently he thinks of Buoys as "songs" and PP/Homies as "compositions" w/r/t which components can transfer in an interesting way. like i don't mind live versions of Comfy because it's such a terrific lyric + melody but i think trying to pull it away from the samples changes it; a live performance of Bros with a guitar would really just be a cover version. these Buoys songs can shift in a way that other albums don't i think

I’m finding it particularly interesting how he structured this set. Every pair of upbeat panda party jams is followed by a super spaced out rhythmless guitar song. I love the way he reworked the older songs this time around too!

^ cool way to put it JFW, and I agree. but I think Tomboy can easily exist in this same post-Buoys universe too if even just that its guitar/simple drum loop-based.
I love that mode for him, re-fell in love with Tomboy all over again this past spring. And I love to see him bring guitar back and not shake things up or go back to full sampler-mode honestly... him on guitar is a lil gnarlier, but its a more tactile mode for him... songs where he's playing guitar are a little more graspable to me now. Religious Bop seems sick.

ya seems like a totally new part of Ariel (I think?). Its also just sweet to know (I assume at least, def sounds like it) that he's just playing the guitar himself. (...right?). I dont think he ever did that, even thru tomboy, unless im full tripping and if so, plz ban me.

Although I love comfy I wasn't thinking of that track in particular, when you think of it the way you put it I don't think it would translate. in particular I was thinking about a reworked version of ponytail or the second part of take pills. which I do think could be interestingly reworked.

damn Daffy Duck vibes from Love of My Life's guitar, damn.
Queen cover it is not. I wonder if this is Sinister Grift or..... (did we decide Sinister Grift is a PB/SB collaboration and this will release around same time but is something different??)
good times, the boys are back.

man these guys work their asses off
i totally thought these were gonna be songs with those dub/reggae samples he posted on twitter. more tricks up the sleeve
loving religious bop and s of e the most
edit: i hope the pitch bending/string shifting makes it to the final versions

Ya this immediately seems very listenable and addictively so. Thanks so much dabubs.
The recording quality leaves the just-right amount of mystery. Can't wait to develop demoitis or whatever to these recordings. So sick. Yummy

Yeah I love it. If it peaked in it's.og form live pre album release, and got passed in a passable (I love it honestly) state officially, it's now been resuscitated and rides again in a new form. Sexy.
