It is only about 40 mins of the supposed 1hr set, mostly spaced out ambient soundscapes with some cool weird synths sounds popping up now and then. Sound quality is pretty good when it comes to hearing the sounds, cannot always tell what avey is on about but apart from that it is really cool stuff, only heard 30 mins so far. Better then I thought it would be

Any of you noticed that in Bees, Avey doesn't voice the s in bees? So it sounds like the s in "geese"
It's really distracting me now that I've noticed

Not liking this trend over on the sub where people are editing songs and entire albums. Someone put up a version of Working without the loud bits at the end. The hell is that?
If you don't like loud bits then you deserve to listen to Coldplay for the rest of your life

ya a large consensus seems to be talking down loud bits and editing out noise in the songs...the biggest offender was a guy editing stgstv in audacity then calling it better lol. different strokes for different folks definitely but dont fuck with the songs man!!!

Mixing albums with live clips can be a fun exercise but straight up editing tracks is fucked
If you don't like something, either learn to appreciate it or just accept that you're not into it.

I don't see the problem with editting tracks, especially editing out loud noises. They're just remixes.
The high frequencies on Spirit are my least favorite parts on the album and replacing them with something easier on the ears is welcome. Having said that, the edit for Working wasn't done very well. The loud noises were just cut out and not replaced with anything

i dont have any real source for this, but another music board i visit had a post of the rumored record store day list for this year, and among the many releases was this:
Animal Collective - Meeting Of The Waters [10'']
anyone have any idea what that could possibly be? again, no real source, but it was in a list of like 100+ random titles and this would be a pretty odd thing to just make up.

I was incredibly disappointed by Anti-Birth. It is a bad film. Got some great music though and a few nice visual moments. The script is just garbage and most of the movie is just very lame dialogue scenes that drag and drag and drag. When I watched it with my friends we kept thinking the movie was about to kick off and go somewhere but it didn't. We made it an hour in before we started skipping to the end and none of us could believe it had only been an hour, felt like 2 at least. The last 3 minutes are interesting, skip to that part.

That's disappointing. I like Danny's eye for trippy shit, the visuals at the PB concert on the greaper tour were fucking awesome. Disappointing to hear that writing a movie is not his strong suit

I whole-heartedly disagree. It's not a masterpiece by any means but as far as independent scary movies go, I think it accomplishes a lot. First of all the soundtrack by Eric Copeland is dope. DP did a really good job of conjuring a sense of danger/uncertainty/impending doom through the lighting/audio. There isn't a ton of direct violence but there is still a super unsettling predatory vibe-- maybe this clicks more for women who understand the female experience in a patriarchal society. The dialogue could be better but the main characters and their friendship come across as genuine. I also find it refreshing that there are no likable characters and in spite of (or maybe because of this) this there are unique feminist themes that emerge.
The final scene makes up for all other short-comings in my opinion, worth it for the ending alone.

Animal Collective covers almost always make me feel really uncomfortable/embarrassed.
I got into AC through those ragtime covers. I thought AC was covering the ragtime songs

Could it be possible that its the actual work in progress tracks or stems of what they would have been using for Coral Orgy as opposed to the actual production/performance of Coral Orgy? Perhaps they had set this in motion before the actual show took place.
