anyone have a vision for our album artwork? I'd love to contribute to this project but art's all I got.
drew this at one point just for a doodle, maybe we could use it or part of it or i could do something similar with more detail/correct dimensions

sounds dope nevermind!
the instrumental breakdown at the end is sick and I really like that synth. Vox were great too.

oh man collages and nevermind are 2 of my favorite CA musicians, looks like we're gonna have to include multiple versions on the final thing guys! amazing stuff on that one nevermind.
everyones been so amazing here, seems crazy not to just put them all in the pot. not sure what the consensus was.

Heeyyyyy thanks you guys. I was kinda in a rut with that cover but seeing the energy and output everyone has come up with in this thread really made me get off my ass.
Looking forward to the final product.

nice version of come to your senses, clams! and boths principe reals are fucking unreal!! this thing is gonna rip when it's finished.
psyched by all those great covers i took the time to properly mix my version of this side of paradise.

how should we hand in the final mixes? maybe we should have them peak at -3db or something, so that sonic has a little room for the mastering.

I know very little about mixing and mastering, but I understand this and I think it's a great idea. Everyone should check to make sure their covers are at -3db. Updated TSoP sounds great, btw!
I still can't get over nevermind's Principe Real, god damn. If I'd never heard Principe Real before, you could play me his cover, and I would still be blown away. What a jam

Vocals for Boys Latin proving extremely difficult... If anyone wants to work on a vocal track I can send them the instrumental... I will not be able to work on it for a short period once again. I am not happy with my vocal performance and will attempt to improve it when I can (probably next week).
I see why onebraineno is still at the WIP stage as well.
Finished instrumental on soundcloud:

I have a cover of Cosplay ("Ayahuasca, Make My Day") but am currently homeless/computer-less... So, I may or may not meet whatever deadlines yall have. If I submit my jam in a month or so, will you still master it, Pete? Pretty pleeeease?

the album could freebird in a months time! Are we even missing any songs at this point? seems kind of unfair to ask pete to master multiple versions of the same songs. just my two cents.

I really dig the style of this. Would be cool if you added more or moved things around/ maybe collabed with someone else for the final product!

lol welp I was thinking,
what if we make our own tracklist with all of the covers we have so far, and just like mash all the songs together, mr noah tracks, unreleased tracks and album tracks. If we have duplicate songs/versions that people made, we could space them out on the tracklist to fit with the flow, like put my principe and nevermind's at different points in the tracklist to fit with whatever songs come before and after them. Whaddya think? Is sonic gone now that the album freebirded?

I tried to get us to start working towards finalizing things but no one responded to what I said.

i know

i think the problem is there isn't anyone who's leading the project so no one is making the move to send the stuff to sonic. we have at least one version of every track already, i think we should just send him everything and see what he puts together or else it'll never happen. i'll post this in that thread as well

i vote we just send it all to petek and see what his take is

i was gonna lay vocals down over stonewall's boys latin but i caught a bug this weekend and have had to put it off. i feel a little less inclined now given a) the album's release and b) we already have 2 versions apparently.

alright it's up to! if you wanna do it and you get it done before we send it we'll throw it in there. stonewall took down his instrumental or i would have included it on that list as well

Shouldn't there be lonely wanderer and acid wash covers on this cover album as well?

I've got two tracks, Lonely Wanderer and Acid Wash, that I've been working on. I got pretty lazy with it, but now that we've got an end date I'm going to have to snap into gear to get things done. They're both finished for the most part, pretty much just need to add vocals and that's it. I should have them both, if not just one, done by tomorrow. But don't wait for me if I don't show.
EDIT: I started the Acid Wash cover before the album freebirded, and went in a fairly different direction from the actual track jsyk. I'm not too sure how it's going to turn out though, so I might end up scrapping it.

I actually think it would be really cool if your Acid Wash sounded completely different from the studio version. It shows how dedicated PB's fans are that they actually started recording covers before the album even came out.
