Looks like possibly not a major change in the setlist this week and no AC tour next year. Panda is scheming his next solo record.

Animal Collective’s tour wraps in Mexico this month, and aside from a few likely international shows, Lennox said there are no plans for “any major [Animal Collective] tours” next year. Soon, he’ll shift his focus to his solo work as Panda Bear, a project that’s been on his mind lately.
“I just spend a lot of time thinking about it, scheming on what I want to do,” he said. Pressed for details, Lennox declined with a laugh.
“Oh yeah, I definitely have a strong idea of where it’s headed,” he said, “but I’m not going to tell you that. It’s more fun that way.”
The future holds no definitive plans for Animal Collective, which isn’t surprising — its members, ages ranging 36 to 38, operate at their own pace. Still, Lennox does not expect “Painting With” to be the group's final release.
“Who knows what the future holds?” he said. “But I’d be surprised if we didn’t release something else in some form or another.”

it makes me sad that the interviewer even asked if PW was the last AC album
long live AC!
I'd much rather have more AC than solo releases, but I'll take whatever I can get! glad PB's feeling inspired!

Kinda funny how that article cites Campfire Songs as being harsh and off-kilter

I know that this is a standard AC question and a standard AC answer but just the thought of Animal Collective not releasing another album is devastating.
And it was nice to see Deakin (Josh Dibb) hammering away on actual drums in an otherwise traditional instrument-less performance.
Crappy review even crappier journalism. (but I am biased)
EDIT: I did email the publication to correct them on their error. no reply or change in the story yet.

Lol. The worst part of that sentence is them thinking that besides the drums, the shows are "instrument-less"
I get what they're trying to say, that the music was heavy on samples and loops. But all three of the dudes are playing some kind of keyboard in these shows

A lack of familiarity with the largely shallow and critically panned “Painting With” was a detriment for this writer. While it was often hard to tell when one song ended and the next began, an early bright spot emerged from that avant-garde murkiness with “Loch Raven” off 2005’s beautiful “Feels.”

I don't think I would ever describe the songs on Painting With as "avant-garde murkiness". Some stuff on Feels, maybe
