I actually think that The Burglars and Vertical might be my favorite tracks! Although I heard the vocaroos multiple times so they've probably grown on me already.

sounds fucking sweet... feel like the whole vibe of the album has this weird sounding but poppy feeling im into... kinda like reverb-less mpp. and ya i hear 3 songs that sound like evolutions of boys latin (least fave song on pbvsgr but its cool)

Yep looks like they took them down. I listened once through and don't really regret it. Sounded pretty freakin great. I've listened to Floridada waaaay too many times already and having heard these makes the wait both more and less painful. Fingers crossed for a Christmas freebird again, best present ever.

Nope not unless Recycling is something heavily reworked. The sample was instrumental. Would make sense I guess lol but I really doubt it.

Dang, I also missed it but that's probably for the best. Is it normal for Amazon to receive mp3s for an album 2.5 months in advance? Probably a long shot but i can't help but wonder if an early digital release is possible.

I'd love to hear any more descriptions from those that got to hear the clips, if anyone has more to share

The Boys Latin comparisons excite me, especially if it's lots of Avey/Panda back and forth. Were there any clips that didn't have *both* Avey and Panda vocally present (besides Recycling), out of curiosity?

To those that heard them, I'm curious if the "every song is Boys Latin" thing is more than just referencing the vocal trade-offs. Like, why not "every song is Guys Eyes"?

less about the trade-offs and more that a lot of the songs (4 - 5?) used the same specific chopped repeated vocal trick.

(we, we, don't, don't, have, have, a, a, sec, sec, etc, etc)

I don't think so, still sounded like avey and panda trading off for most of the snippets (though in a way that still sounds like boys latin more than guys eyes)
only 1 or 2 of the panda songs seemed to have that delay effect
but we will see when the album comes out/freebirds

All I read in the last few pages was that it sounds like Boys Latin. I really like Boys Latin sooooo : )

FUCK i'm really pissed i missed these clips got so excited and then let down

It seemed like about half of the songs in the snippets had that boys latin vocal technique. Except it was like a way more advanced version of it, much faster and with more intricate melodies. Some of it reminded me more of the kind of vocal interplay you'd hear on dirty projectors albums rather than boys latin specifically. A lot of them sounded like it was avey and panda going back and forth but it was hard to tell tbh.

I'm fine with lots of hocketing as long it isn't overplayed, which I doubt it will be. I do wonder how this album is gonna translate to a live setting though. FloriDada alone seems like it would be fairly difficult to pull off.

Also yeah there are a few songs that sound "samey" but not in a horrible, unimaginative way. All of these songs seem to punch really hard, and there don't seem to be any filler songs (which AnCo has never done). Only thing I am wary of is that it seems to be more of a collection of great pop songs, rather than a continuous album. That's just be me getting hung up on old AnCo though, which we all should try to avoid. This is a completely new approach for AnCo.
