I feel like Avey hasn't recorded these songs yet. He said that he and Deak recorded Eucalyptus in 2015/2016 right? Even if they finished recording at th beginning of 2016, seems like he's been pretty busy since that time, between AnCo and solo shows (I also can't remember where exactly MotW recording falls on the timeline). It's not impossible that he found time to hit the studio but it seems unlikely to me...I'm also just keeping my expectations in check so I won't be let down if these songs take a while to get released. If he hasn't recorded yet it could be a long wait

Gonna have to go back in this thread and find the quote where someone talked to him after a show and he confirmed he wanted to record these jams, I'm not making that up right?

He had 2 guitars (Electro-accoustic and electric) a sampler or two, an iPad and a couple of pedals. That I'm sure of but maybe he had something else?.

I assume avey hasn't recorded these songs yet based only on how he seems to still be working on them. The Aging Heart, Eyes on Eyes, and Sew Happy all had pretty notable changes since the mothlight show. I remember the quote youre talking about also, so yeah maybe in a next couple months he'll record them, hopefully

Im not gonna lie, I would rather get this album before a tour of Sung Tongs. I feel like that will totally delay this album and any other new projects etc.. that one night felt perfect... it would be dope to hear some of he extra songs from the Tongs year again but the rest would get old real quick. I would prefer a new PB tour and have Avey go one another tour of these songs

but of course even of all of this can happen in a 2018 then fuck ya let it be baby!!!

i dont really think a sung tongs tour would delay avey from recording these songs. panda is most likely going on tour in the spring given the april levitation date. any sung tongs tour wouldn't happen until after that at least, i would guess. avey theoretically has all winter and spring to record whatever he wants.

still not really convinced that a sung tongs tour would actually happen, though, unless there's some sort of new evidence.

To bring down the mood a little I haven't liked a single version of Saturdays bar the Hideout one. Don't like the effects on the guitar and he seems to have switched to two chords rather than three for most of the song

maybe this will be one of the only times the corresponding release will be totally comprehensive re the live material... cuz ya seems like a bunch of songs at this point and its not like any are throw-aways... whatever comes from it will be really really good. seeing hypes for the ones he added at end of recent tour like Derrierre, which seem even newer than like Saturdays and all that... but ya my life will be way more fulfilling when a studio recording of saturdays/mayan is out there

He played Derriere twice, but no one recorded the Elsewhere show where it debuted. Which is a shame, since the second song he played there wasn't played at any other show

He also played Red Light Water Show at Elsewhere, so it might have a better chance at surviving than the other Mothlight songs which never came back (like Taken Boy)
