Great tunes during the puzzle. Wasn't too bad on hard once you get the outer frame.

Isn't the one song we've heard Selection of a Place though?

i think so, yeah. PB1 had 14, on that note PBVSGR had 13 but 2 of those were barely even songs. i hope that isn't the case on this album

bet about 3~ or so are at least Glass-Bottom Boat style interludes, which seem a bit meatier than Shadow of Colossus/Davey Jones Locker in-and-out flavor-adjusting palette-cleansers at least, not that there's anything wrong with any of those (pre-emptive A+ dave, yr music is post-perfect, transcendental always)

Cool that Sleep Cycle, PW, MotW, The Painters, and this have all been released without (virtually) any preceding live performances. Guess it's now a viable release model for the guys and we can expect more surprises in the future

Sleep Cycle material was performed a lot ahead of its release, it did go through a lot of changes (backing band sometimes and completely solo at other times). Check out the live recordings thread there are good boots of the stuff

Just Am and Footy were the other ones he played live

Footy was the first song he played for his first ever solo show on the first day of this decade, and Just Am was the last song in that same set

don't forget golden chords also known as II, which used to be slower and heavy on the vocal fx. and wasn't acoustic guitar

Super excited. So what are people expecting "electroacoustic" to sound like? I don't really know what to expect. Do you think the album will have a similar vibe to MotW? I'm down with whatever, although I do think that a loose, ambling album like MotW might bore me a little. But then, most of the songs are of standard length.

Wish I didn't live in Aus cause pre-ordering the vinyl will set me back $70. Might just buy it locally.

Hahaha. Can't not be excited for an AC-related release, even though I wasn't blown away by much of their recent stuff. Not huge into CHZ, PBVSGR, or most of PW/the painters (though I did enjoy them and some songs were great, they just didn't hit me quite on that level by and large,) though I did like MOTW and Sleep Cycle quite a bit. Anyway, Dave's stuff has resonated with me the most in the more recent AC stuff. Very excited. Have not listened to the demos.

yo demonclusters it was you who made the comparison with Nonesuch records about the artwork right? Seen Studio posted something about that on ig. "Kind of like staring at a Nonesuch Explorer LP while your brain leaves your body"

Holy moly yes! The "background-ocean" clip from his website reminds me of one-man-band Bobby Brown's "In Search of a Dream" kinda... if it's an album of weird, beach-y psych color me... psyched. Love the album art!

the clips that were playing during the puzzle had some Books vibes to them, I hope the full album has that sort of kaleidoscopic collage feel to it.

also the digital puzzle thing was so well put-together, the clips meshed together almost seamlessly and the "correct" sound filled me with so much joy each time I got one right
