vertical is my favorite

wow, I'm surprised Hocus Pocus is doing so well. I'm not disappointed, its one of my favorites from the album, but it seems like I've heard way more love for Vertical (or even Summing the Wretch if we're talking panda songs) than hocus pocus.

I think the verse(s) of Vertical is possibly my favourite melody and hocketing on the album, but the vocals and strange instrumentation on the bridge is a bit strange to me, plus the chorus is a little boring. The first 55 seconds is magical, then I get bored. Hocus Pocus just offers so much throughout the whole song imo.

Also I agree that On Delay and The Burglars are impossible to choose between, despite being very different.

Also just realising that many of the album's songs (especially those left) contain an Alvin Row-esque collection of different melody's and distinguishable parts. So good.

i feel like i should just let vertical go now but
