We are so back. Do we think it's one of the Madrid tracks, like Religious Bop? Or a new one entirely?

Revisiting Buoys and Homies this afternoon - he’s so good at just dropping you into a completely new environment. So consistent about creating cohesive, immersive album sounds unlike anything else. Couple that with the pop bangers he’s done in collabs these past few years and, yeah, super hyped. But I’m also hoping hoping hoping i can wait until the full album to listen (Vegas odds - fifty to one against).

Just checked in with a local record store here in Portland. The guy said they will have it, but he told me it isn’t going to be released until the 18th and that it is called Defense/ Virginia Tech. I wonder why other stores for people said tomorrow and the guy here said not until the 18th? Either way, I am super excited to pick this up and hear it! Perhaps I’ll call tomorrow again and re-ask just incase the guy told me wrong.

The Euro sites have said the 18 all along. I fear we're getting a couple tracks only on vinyl right now and then an album announcement a few weeks later. Friday would be an odd day to announce an album; it wouldn't be too weird to drop a 7" on a Friday. (the website changes though - that's what gives me more hope)

damn, i know Panda Bear is a big basketball guy. i'm guessing "Virginia Tech" is in reference to their college basketball team - could be influenced by something else regarding that school... at any rate, cool to know the B-side name as well!

Vinyl only PB stuff gets taken down from YT pretty quickly. Tried uploading some tomboy singles versions and immediately got flagged.

very guitar driven as per the recent teasers, the overall sound is more polished though. almost a cindy lee vibe to the guitar sound. very pop for a pb song. vocals sound crystal clear and are very upfront. to me it sounds like a natural sequel to the reset sound with less/no reliance on sampling. loving it!!
