probably many pages back now, we learned that Luloff only did the front and back cover for Defeat but not the album cover. I think the album cover is probably the old looking dark blue/orange flowery bits but even those could just be a fabric

my intuition about dragon slayer opening TS was correct, the new song could open too based on description, but i do feel it strange that the opener would be one we haven’t heard, given past precedence

this is pound for pound my ideal tracklist. with the title being what it is, that shook things up. Defeat seems way more likely to close, but Im realizing genies is such a good closer to me because it’s how they closed the base setlist in asheville 21, which was my first ac concert (and where they debuted this iteration of the song!!)

This is my personal favorite I’ve seen so far but I’d switch magicians and gem, then it would mirror skiffs really well. This also just feels like classic anco pacing.

what makes the most sense to me is kings opens the album, genies closes it, and defeat is in the middle of the album, most likely side C.

I think that dang ol new song will open it. Genie's could too though...
MMMMmaybe Soul. I feel like they wouldn't open it with Kings at this moment in their career and idk what that means. Like it'd be kinda sick but I feel like that'd be more for a project like ODDSAC or Tangerine Reef and not a full mainline album. Idk if that's good OR bad. Ballsy tho.
