I'm gonna make a real big prediction right here guys:

This album is going to sound exactly like "painting with."

But for real we keep saying "it's gonna sound like chz and mpp and sj!!!" Well yeah its the same band.

i don't have it, but floridada is a pretty good song. sung tongs + strawberry jam, avey/panda vox.

OK so just throwing this out the window so we stay on track to Floridada and keep asking are there yet? yes yes yes yes no. OK. ODDSAC is not a follow up to Merriweather. ODDSAC was started three years before Merriweather and was intended to be seen solely as a visual album (seriously you don't have to go further than the ODDSAC site to get that). Ethics aside of whether you listen to it without the visuals or not (you're damned if you watch without but that's not coming from me), ODDSAC is not a follow up to Merriweather and it's not a "studio" album. Avey commented that the recordings were done all over the place and in progress post-Feels. AC is pretty specific about their studio practices in regards to picking a certain studio and time to work on a "studio" album. ODDSAC stands as its own thing like the mold on your morning lemon. As far as I am concerned: STGSTV, DM, Hollindagain, CS, HCTI, ST, Feels, SJ, MPP, CHz, Painting. OK. So how close are we? Three hours to go?

So I've now officially heard this album compared to Danse Manatee, Sung Tongs, Feels, Strawberry Jam, MPP, and CHz.

I have no idea what to expect and I love it.

so proud of myself for holding out on the crappy cell phone recordings. but fuck these descriptions are so exciting im not sure how much longer i can wait! really hope we get this at midnight (~1.5 hours right?)

Grr the hype. I feel like the album will be kind of dry, as opposed to MPP where it was more liquidy and spacey. Also, it seems like it will be pretty fast-paced, judging from the FLACs. I feel a CHz like sound, except less burritos with more room to breathe (opinion totally blown away by Floridada.)
