You know, I like the title, if that is indeed it. If they kept putting out albums with wild psychedelic imagery it would get kind of old hat after so many years.

except we'll be referring to this album as IIN eventually which looks like ass

Think the title is fine. Not a huge fan of Time Skiffs either really.

29th September is very soon! Album announcement proper later this week?? Cannot wait to see the album art. Avey made it, didn't he?? Hope there is some kind of interplay with the TS cover.

Perhaps it's too late to speculate now that the signs are pointing towards "Isn't It Now", but I kinda feel its lyrical answer, "Oh No Not Now", would be just as fitting a title. Represents the common lyrical sentiment of the present day (Now) sucking balls, and has the tongue twister quality of old titles like Sung Tongs or Moo Rah Rah Rain. (Having said that I still think "Quartz Gestures" would've been the perfect punny summation of this era's medievaldelia, and I'll definitely be giving that name to my eventual SMiLE/Repainting Along-esque mega mix)

Nope, it's my own pun - alluding to medieval court jesters, the "gem" in Gem and I, and also a "quartz gesture" could be a convoluted way of describing a small precious act of kindness (particularly embodied by the likes of Passerby and Stride Rite). But let's be honest is it really any worse than Simmer Limber Over or Disco Dennis

Loving the title more and more as we sit with it tbh.
Feels to me a perfectly helpless response to the state of things in the world and how it feels as an individual to face our global issues

Also what dio (I think?) said about all the words being colourless and transparent, pushing the focus to the songs

I do wonder if Domino ever wishes they could have a normal AC rollout without the nerds on the beige website spoiling it for themselves. (We love you! Maybe send us all press streams LMAO)

really happy to have a release date that feels pretty close to now -- a normal wait time. gotta pour one for Domino for not stretching this rollout any further. God knows they tried.

torn if i'm going to hold out on listening to any more singles or not. would be nice to have a fresh experience Defeat aside, but i've been so hyped for these songs for so long it will take my greatest restraint yet.

If burnt orange/black is the color template of this album cycle I'm into it. Halloween ass band. These songs have a patient, late autumn vibe (as did Skiffs for me), and the band hasn't had a truly orange album yet.
