I remember when CHZ dropped "officially" I was working 2nd shift and I came home to about 20 people in the garage. My roommate put it on the big speakers and I just sat there, right in front of it and listened and soo drunk! ! Haha really only my roommate and I knew who AC was there, so everyone else was pretty irrelevant! 2012 was a sweet year for me..

it somehow bugs me that "vertical" is followed by "lying in the grass" in the tracklist.
it makes me read it like "vertical lying in the grass" which is basically "standing in the grass".
i can't unsee it and i hope that will change once i heard the songs.

Yea it's true PK could just be using "side 2" as shorthand for the 2nd half of the album even if it's pressed on 2 separate LPs. I guess it all depends on track lengths and how they want to group the tracks

The original guy was talking about their music albums. ODDSAC is music recorded over several different eras and is meant to be accompanied by visuals. It obviously sits alongside their musical body of work in a special way.

We don't know for sure exactly what will happen tomorrow but we are all under the impression that the first single "FloriDada" will be released tomorrow. Possibly alongside the album announcement and hopefully even a little EP to tide us over until then

I think the whatever is going to be released on monday is going to be released according to the Greenwich Mean Time Zone (British Time Zone) since Domino is a London-based record company. I feel like animal collective has been focusing on releasing their stuff in Britain recently, a little more than they have previously.

So I'm waiting to see what happens at 5:00 where I live (Eastern Time) since that 's midnight in Britain.

Huh? I didn't call anyone anything. That was Fovrodi that called him a tool.

I was agreeing with blindmowing. He was talking about short interludes appearing on their albums and made the distinction that ODDSAC didn't count. He was absolutely right to do this. Everyone else was being really pedantic with him.

Im pretty sure that the cover art features all three of them, but avey is most prominent. The guy to the left looks like geo, and that sweater looks uncannily like panda's wolf sweatshirt.

That being said, I think it's totally possible that they're going to pull a Mr. Noah and release Floridada as a single+EP. Why else would they have a special artwork for it and build such hype on just dropping a single? We are getting at least a b-side.
