Some of my favorite songs are like that. You think you've heard it before, so hearing it again is like revisiting an old friend. But you've never heard it before. Probably has to do with scales or some shit.

think it was the emotion of the verse's melody is like a feeling i always got but like shunned it bc i thought it was self indulgent or something so it seemed really close to me

I love how Avey says MPP was pretty much a Panda Bear solo album when he wrote like half the songs

Just a random observation. But usually Panda only has a couple of songs per album so it probably seemed more like it to him.

that reminds me when my daughters were 2 and 5 I played chocolate girl for them and as the song climaxed my girls were dancing with the beat, I was blown away and thought my girls were possessed, really triply but amazing experience

i would sing to my son (who is 14 months now) cosplay when i rock him to sleep. lol but not 'marijuana makes my day'. back from when the boots had the lyrics 'dont you wanna make my day' (or at least thats what it sounded like for a few boots). such a lullaby sound to it.

cant wait til hes a few years older so i can introduce him to a lot of great music.

my parents only listened to the radio - 80s mega hits and that sort of thing
