I guess it depends on your definition of "shortly" but it seems AC albums tend to get released about 3 months after they're announced, sometimes more, for promotion and whatnot. It would be nice if this was an exception to that, though.

I'm curious if he's still planning to release a solo album alongside this, it seems we haven't gotten as much info about that one.

from announcement to release on 'down there' was pretty timely, if i recall correctly [which i may not be doing]. also remember band members expressing that they don't like there to be a long wait between recording and release. i think.

If they release on Paw Tracks I'll bet the time between announcement and release date will be very short

if it's Domino or something probably a few months

thats why mpp was released in winter bcos they didnt want to wait till summer rite?

they probably wanted closer to summer 2008 though, I think Jan was the earliest Domino let them release it so they just went with that...?

08. No worries. The record was done around summer 08 so it would be insane to wait an entire year to release it haha.

Actually I believe it was done in February 2008 but Domino only lets you release one album every 365 days. They should've totally pulled a Death Grips.

I don't think MPP was mixed until summer or early autumn.
Release cycles are much more complicated than arbitrarily waiting a year just because.

I can't remember what was done when, very possible that masters weren't ready until a while after summer had finished
