Man, that song freaks me out ( in a really good way. ) It gives me chills because when I hear it I think of danger.

It's all in the family ... Hehe
But actually since I'm here I am glad.
So I was listening to de Soto de sun the version off the crack box ...
And not the first time around , but at the end of the song , the last two lines that Dave and Noah sing absolutely stunningly which is ...
"colored people say oh no , cause they think its contagious
Marahmellow people say oh yeh , cause they think its a masterpiece"
I feel like I got something out of that. I felt like the marshmellow people are a representation of folks who truly do appreciate the life as it is given to us , meanwhile the colored folks believe it is contagious , meaning it must be basically the opposite of said masterpiece. Every word these guys express has some sort of meaning , but hearing those lines yesterday at that time and moment hit me and I'm glad it did. Most beautiful song ....

I remember in the Campfire Songs thread someone posted an interpretation of how "coloured people" isn't being used racially, can't remember what they said it actually was though. it was a cool explanation

One of my favorite moments is the cough in Street Flash before he does the middle "electric shaver ingrown hair" and "electronic translucent bug" part.

That middle section is one of my absolute favourites. The bit after 'I play with every little doubt' when the chord comes in (I'm awful at describing music, don't really know the terms) is so good.

Yeah I get that ODDSAC was a visual album that had to be enjoyed as a whole yadayadayada, but I wish What Happened had received a wider release. Great song.

About 45 seconds into the ending of Turn Into Something when Panda bursts into the old "EEEH OOH AAAAH"
The first time the drum loop kicks in on On A Highway
"My singing voice is--"

Favourite moments from live @9:30
Panda bear drumming ecstasy in the final part of Amanita
That first Avey scream in DYSTW on "kiss goodnIIIIIIGHT"
The blissed out intro /outtro of my girls
Hearing Avey's backing vocals real clear in I think I can
When I think I can switches to a major key (I think) for the last part with panda's ooooohs
In Pulleys' massive middle section when the Scheherazade chord emerges and you feel like you could stretch out and inhabit that space for hours
In that same section whenever there's a big bassy rumble
Live drumming on WWIW?S
Avey breaking his voice over and over in the Brother Sport breakdown
What a great release

rock herk set is sick
that we tigers video is sick
edgar makes me a little uncomfortable because wan't noah just fucked up on drugs that whole time? pretty dark if you ask me

It may be dark to appreciate Edgar. I don't know enough to say whether it is CERTAIN that he was "on drugs the whole time," as I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I mean - what did Dali say? "I don't do drugs, I am drugs." ? Or some shit like that? I mean, sometimes I can be totally sober, or maybe like a joint in, and I'll be listening to like rock/acoustic herk or whatever, for instance, and I get to that place, that little spot at the edge of the rocks where the water comes up to my toes, and everything is great there, and I'm not on anything serious. So we could say that maybe he was really in the groove, maybe it was a bit of a put-on, and maybe there were some hallucinogens or empathogens flowing, but that doesn't really mean he was like constantly high or whatever.
You know, also, being in a binge isn't necessarily a dark thing. Three years ago, right before I quit drugs, I was living in a shooting gallery in this little hick town shooting dilaudids in my arm several times a day and chasing it with iv cocaine. Every day. But I kept up my job the whole time - I work remotely. I kept up my family relationships. Eventualy I got bored and went to rehab and came out the other side feeling awesome. In fact, I'd say my stint shooting dope for a couple years taught me a lot and really helped me relieve myself of myself, if that makes any sense.
But yeah, the herk stuff is awesome.
And when Edgar really gets going on those drums on Rev. Green, well, can we say that's dark? In any way?
Your dispassionate teetotaler,

well said. I guess I don't know shit about drugs but from what I heard I don't think noah was in a particularly good place during the edgar phase
