Can somebody link me with that interview where Noah talks about meeting his wife and ditching the band to be with her for like 5 days? Can't find it and it's like essentials for my life rn

Ah, no I think it's a kind of obscure interview from the feels era. Could be wrong though

Asked my wife this morning, of all the panda songs, ac or solo, which would you most like to hear Avey cover? She said Benfica (even though I know it's nowhere near one of her favorites amongst plethora of panda's output). Oddly I'd love to hear BBCM- tell me that wouldn't crush!
The flipside of that, she wanted to hear Panda Bear covers Modern Daze E. I picked Laughing hieroglyphic.

that's a cool idea, if the dudes covered each other's songs, esp because their styles are so distinct from each other

That's a really sweet question. I'm not sure Laughing Hieroglyphic would be my choice, as Avey really, truly owns that song. As in, I wouldn't like to hear Avey cover something like You Can Count On Me or Tropic either. The lyrics are maybe too personal on either side.
Damn I'm finding it really hard to mentally transfer Avey's voice to Panda material.
Best I can think of is maybe Crosswords or Selfish Gene in Avey's Feels-era hushed whispers.
And (obviously) Lucky 1 complete with life-changing Panda falsettos. Oooh maybe even in the Cheap Treat vocal style.

Chores almost sounds like Panda 'doing Avey', in the first half anyway. I think he could do a decent job of Oliver Twist, too. It's very much in line with his four to the floor Greaper stuff.
I think Dave's live intensity elevated House and Brother Sport so far beyond the mellower studio recordings that he could pretty much take on anything Noah has written and take it somewhere amazing. He's a much more versatile, and a more interesting vocalist, basically. At least, he's willing to record his vocals with more of a varied approach. I love Noah's old live Sung Tongs style, that's his best era, vocally, for me, but it seems that such rawness is long gone.

Yeah, I know what you mean. If someone ever says, "Woah, Noah really knocked it out of the park there", they're almost certainly talking about a live performance rather than a studio recording. Whereas we can all be stupefied by what Avey spits on an album track. Strange then as well that Avey is hiding his vocals more and more with effects these days. Would dream of something totally crude from the two of them on the next record but logic says it won't happen.

idk if they're horns haha but they kick in like 2 times at the very end, definitely a wind instrument. It's pretty subtle but at the same time it's my jam.

Today's Supernatural is so mind-blowing.
Also is it weird that Oliver Twist reminds me of Justin Timberlake? Just like the verse beat and melody. This song is also a perfect track.

It's worth checking out for anyone who hasn't. It is almost too similar to AC. It really sounds like the lead guy imitates PB's voice. Sometimes, like in this song at 2:15, this other voice comes in and creates that PB/AT vocal contrast in MPP.
That said, it's still very well done and fun.
