^ Was thinking the same. I'm not sure how far the two are from one another but they had to relocate Woodsist fest this week :(

If we show up and there is pretty lax security surrounding the main stage the CA signal will be flashed into the sky.

Dream scenario: AC in the middle of their set. Wildfire closes in but they keep playing. Finally it's at the resort's edge. Fire marshall calls in (to who knows who), "Prepare 300 caskets, it's gonna be a catastrophe. Dead. All dead." Crop dusting (right?) plane sweeps across the fire's path extinguishing everything. Deakin opens a door on the side of the plane, parachutes to the stage and breaks into the opening bars of For Reverend Green. Everyone's dick or vagina explodes.

Hey everybody--

I bought 2 Camping Passes / 1 Car Pass to the festival when it went on sale back in May. It's looking like I may not go and opt to see Sigur Ros that weekend instead in LA.

I'm a huge fan of AC and would LOVE to see them in Big Sur... But! I was able to see them in March with the current set, and this is the only chance I'll have to see Sigur Ros for a while. Decisions, decisions... These were also kind of expensive haha and money is tight...

Instead of posting on Craigslist, I wanted to throw it out there to you all first!

Please PM me or email me [email protected]. Again it's a 2 person camping pass, with a car pass. So ideally it's for someone to drive down with another person.

Hit me up if you're interested... Whoever does it first, gets it! :)

Still holding out for him + Deakin, or at least Deakin in attendance would be cool too.

Also fire update: projected date to contain the fire has been pushed back to the end of August, hopefully it doesn't spread any closer to the campground and crossing my fingers for some good fortune on the firefighters' part. It's currently a blaze about the size of San Francisco.

i've seen a black dice set before and i'm not sure if it has any place in a peaceful forrest. it was so brutally loud and hardcore (and also incredible in every sense of the word) that I can't imagine it anywhere but in a small dark room

well, think about if the microscopic sounds of water traveling up the trunks of redwood trees to reach the uppermost foliage, or the sounds of a billion insects feeding, breeding, squelching, traversing the grand mycelium network under the nutrient rich soil caking the root structures underneath your tent. Think about the echolocation among the bats, or the sound of the epidermal piercing of your skin from mosquitos and the incessant buzzing therein...

eric copeland seems right at home

Hi gang. I haven't been around here since day 1, but I don't really feel the early post imploring a privileged caste system of preference for ticket access was very polite or fair anyway.

I'm obviously a humongous AC fan, and I've been having dreams about precisely this kind of AC "gathering" or concert for years.

I will do whatever it takes to obtain access to a ticket, I can go in on lodging, gas, transportation, I can drive us if need be, so on. I'm able to fend off bugs and beasts, but my first intention is to do no harm, rather than be a vicious aggressor!

I'm desperate here, and I'm grateful for everything AC has given to us!
edit: if I buy a scalper-priced 3-ticket package for $1000, is there anyone here who will pay $333 for a ticket? I'm willing to go this route if I can find equal interest from others to help take the load off

fyi.. i don't know if anyone mentioned this yet or not, but if you stay at fernwood the night before, you can keep your site for the rest of the weekend. for those interested in a certain site. also, the person i spoke to doesn't anticipate there being an issue with the fires. though someone's anticipation of fire doesn't mean too much, i guess.. but for what it's worth..

i've been checking the fernwood fb and site and the little they're been posting about the fire makes me think they arent concerned either. it's just so close :(

I believe the fire is currently 60% contained!

Also interesting about camping the night before to maintain a spot, not sure I can get an extra day off work, let alone afford another night of camping but I'm excited to wake at the crack of dawn on the Friday and hit the road.

that was just to scare away lurkers, tourists, and scalpers, really.

I actually deleted a couple threads that popped up the week after the sale of people offering 1000+
for tickets

I'll likely be working until 6PM the night before, already got a fair bit of time off requested for a trip to Australia + the camping weekend next month so not sure if I can swing the extra day for an early arrival. Someone score that riverside site for CA campers!

Officially a month away!

Fernwood still seems to be past the point of any wildfire worries and surrounding beaches and parks have been reopened.

AC have also kicked off their tour! Nothing new besides Kids On Holiday last night but they have a week off until they head towards the UK and then close to 2 weeks before they return to the west coast, let's hope that's enough time to put together something special.

Hello, friends -

I've only joined to sell tickets, but I figured this was the best place to reach the true believers.

I have 3 tickets with a parking pass. (My krewe accidentally bought too many - I'm still going!) I want to sell them at no markup - $642.95.

I'd hate to think I'm selling to a scalper, so I'm hoping to find someone who's been posting on here for a while.

Please message me if you're interested, thanks for reading, and stay alive!

[EDIT - Sold, thanks! See y'all there!]
