this ep went from being so awesome to really good to just ok in just a week. I feel like the title track will definitely be a constant re-listen for years and maybe untying the knot, but the other tracks just seem weak.

I'm Polish on my father's side, and he likes to tell the joke, "Two Polacks arguing have four opinions between them."

I'm beginning to think the joke holds true for AC fans. I think I've heard every song on this EP both praised and criticized in this thread. Not necessarily a bad thing, just interesting.

Guys/gals...these songs were left off the record for a reason. The album will contain what they consider the best of the sessions and this ep is just a gift. I always say record everything because a few years down the line one of these tracks could be your favorite or another listener might connect with the song in a way you do not. It's all good! New P-Bear! Be thankful! Plus all this info from Sonic Boom! We are lucky fans

So true! This feels like a really special album release cycle, and I'm excited to be here to enjoy it.

love that little spring-reverby sound after each 'see what you can and you can't do' section :+)

can i say I kinda miss the spaces that were in ms pacman (where he would sing and then the beat and bass would come in like in the Mohawk boot). Other than that loving everything

same. i'm slightly worried because a lot of what i loved about the boots was the tension and beat drops in these songs but he just jumps into these tracks.

fuckin dope either way tho, just bein nitpicky

Yeah that's the only thing I think might have improved the EP even more for me. Even if it happened just once in the song at some point. Oh well, I still love it.

I find myself imagining it happening and enjoying it more that way
there was something really powerful about that beat drop followed by 'look into the mirror'

Can't say I agree with the mixing complaints however. I think it's exceeded my expectations. I can hear all the little details and I feel engulfed by the sounds. The little flourishes and additions here and there have enhanced the songs even more for me, not made them overcrowded.

my thoughts exactly.
to the human that said they don't hear any bass in faces in the crowd....listen closer ;)

pacmans bass is actually pretty clear and loud in the mix... i think this person was expecting like a subby dubby bass or something

Anyone know what is the origin of that shamisen sample on "Untying the knot" ?

Unless Noah bought a shamisen ?

it doesn't sound too uncommon really and noah did use stock samples so maybe he got it from one of those.

For some reason only just now realized the similarities between this EP's artwork and the artwork for the Knife's Shaking the Habitual

Been about a week or so since I've listened to the EP. These songs are just so good.

The ultimate decision about music should always be made by you, your ears, and your brain. Don't let Anthony Joe Biden or anyone else tell you what music to like.

All that matters at the end of the day is that you're happy with the music you choose to listen to.

One major difference being that song has a bassline.

Nah it has a bass line. It's the little low keyboard part that kind of ties things together. You should've said something like. "This song has more bass more bass than ms. pacman". Or "Ms. Pacman could use more bass".

Have you heard this track yet?
Spoiler: show
