I live in Chattanooga and I missed Avey playing April and the Phantom and I'm so fucking pissed off right now.

I got boots for y'all! It was my first time recording a concert, so not the best quality but sounds surprisingly good considering I just used a Zoom H1N in the front pocket of my shirt. I did a bit of editing in Ableton to up the quality a bit. There's some crowd banter (including a silly moment where the guy standing next to me and I realize Avey's playing April lol) and Deakin/Avey are missing just the very first couple of seconds of drone/guitar while I started up the recorder again. But otherwise it's all there! I saw some other people at the show with better recording setups, so I bet we'll get higher quality boots at some point. But until then, enjoy!

"in the mirror of the bathroom", gave me shivers. Beautiful.
Hope they play more of these triple-header shows, with the group set at the end it really is a perfect way to see this band

Yeah that could be a game changer. More individual shows highlighting solo work between official band eras.

Energy was super good in Asheville tonight!! My first deakin solo show and he sounded terrific. Setlist from my phone so maybe mistakes
Deakin mentioned he’d played Golden Chords on piano last night but did it on guitar with geo drone accompaniment tonight, really really wonderful
Spoiler: show

they seemed really joyous to be presenting their music in this way fwiw. i can definitely imagine them wanting to try it again
also it was my first time at Eulogy in asheville so not sure what their usual routine is, but someone was filming the entire show from side/back/onstage + front row with what looked like a fairly pro rig. only the one angle that i saw but maybe there were mounted cameras somewhere too? and not sure if that's a venue thing or what. still, maybe footage will show up sometime?

I have a boot from the Chattanooga show! Look a few days ago on this thread. And on the animalcollective subreddit someone posted their boot of the Asheville show with pretty good sound quality!

Can we get that linked over here so I don’t have to go back to Reddit?

Deakin wasn't kidding about his new songs not really having lyrics yet. I tried to transcribe and there isn't much in common between both shows. Some similar lines and concepts but all jumbled. I don't think either of these are tied to the 2018 songs, wonder if he's dropped those

Real, I know that there’s at least one more Chattanooga boot out there somewhere and I’m sure there’s at least one more Asheville as well. Have been nervously checking yt and the internet archive and mediafire the past couple days lol
Not much more I can do about the audio quality of mine from Chattanooga, but if people are willing to help provide times/track titles of each set I'm more than happy to split it up into individual tracks and re-upload!

I could be getting greedy but I hope he keeps peppering in AC deep cuts. Acoustic Street Flash? Crimson on thumb piano?
Whatever he does I hope we can get some good boots or vids

This. Also would not at all mind a fully/mostly acoustic set. His Eucalyptus tour in 2017 was some of his best live stuff. Def my favorite Avey solo era.

yeah i think the 7s tour had like 2 legs and he wrote the 7s material in 2021, plus touring the old skiffs/IIN stuff for so long, i feel like/hope that it's gotta be new stuff, he's prob itching to play new jams

ya I couldn't see another run of 7s. I can definitely invision a set full of new songs, maybe even the couple new songs from last solo tour at best. which is totally thrilling! that 2017 solo show was one of my favorite shows ever.

Just accidentally heard Beech Tree. Try to avoid news songs on boots these days but oh well, it's gorgeous
