Did an interview with Deakin and Herald (will post either Friday or Monday) where he gave some new info about SG! Also check out Linear B by Herald if you haven't yet that album slaps.

Deak confirmed again 2025 release, sounds like it's Domino. Do they think it will clash with the Sung Tongs live release?
I just hope the roll out's good

lol domino does the same rollout for Panda every time. They sit on it for months and months and then it freebirds. They may want to release in in 8 months but we will hear it in 24 no doubt.

its almost as if they intentionally hold out in releasing to jack up excitement, and attention. Wouldnt be surprised if they want it to freebird

Not to get too heated but I'm so fucking tired of this goddamned label dude. Fuck them to hell like maybe if ac was bringing in as much money as the fucking arctic monkeys they'd show them the tiniest semblance of respect and decency but nooo lets just screw everyone over right its not like anyones cared about animal collective since 2009 right?? fuck

One of my other favorite artists, Why?, are self-releasing their latest album in August (announcement in May). I hope it works out for them, and I wish the members of Animal Collective could try something similar just to see if it could work. I know they mentioned frustrations in their last press rollout, but an album being done and set aside for a year is just such an outdated model in my mind.

As irritating as it might be for us to have to wait so long for releases - there must be something that Domino is doing for the band behind the scenes to make them stick with the label. Whether it's a money thing, touring thing, distribution thing, physical releases, whatever. There is absolutely something - or the group wouldn't still be releasing music with them.
I guess every label is gonna have upsides and downsides.

The things that i want don’t allow for the handful of mouths that Noah is trying to feed

Kind of a funny thought that Domino probably delayed Sinny G into 2025 to release mariachi version of an album theyve already released 3 times

Really curious to hear what Sinister Grift actually sounds like. Feel like we've heard a few rumors over the years. I mean we heard some of the new songs on that awesome Madrid boot, but that was in 2021! At various times I've seen speculation that this era would be sort of a "rock band" vibe. Wonder if that will come to pass. Madrid stuff was guitar-centric in its way, but I don't really remember it sounding like Hard Rock Cafe or anything (yes I've somehow managed to not revisit that boot in like 2 years—restraint)

yeah its weird it was more chilled out stripped down guitar over drum machine business. wonder if that will be the vibe but with a drummer and a bassist. i think there was a religious bop snippet that sounded similar to how it sounded but i dont know where it is anymore. i really wish he released the token from the 2021 practices, thats one of his best sogngs in my humble opinion hehe. that shit was 3 years ago

PBVSGR and Buoys both dropped in January with singles in the fall. Why not do it again?
I remember seeing the Buoys tour in February but could see this dropping in January and then the tour not happening until spring or later.

Looks like he’s rehearsing with a full band. Also looks like he’s now using a 404 mk 2. Is that rivka playing synth?

I think so! I wonder who that is on bass. Anyone know what guitar he's using? I still hoping for a lot of acoustasonic in the new material but we'll see. Announcement cant be too far off.

The vantage point of that IG clip makes me think perhaps he'll stay behind the kit for these shows?
