It's definitely the album, since we know Avey and his cousin were colluding on this and he referred to it as the new album.

could be total b.s.(bull-spit) but some person on /mu/ just posted "Okay, this song just ended and they said the album is called "A Story Song" (something like that, not certain) and it's out on New Years Day."
It sort of sounds true though.
