can somebody tell me what the meaning behind the name "tomboy" is? I suck at google i guess

tomboy = a girl who enjoys rough, noisy activities traditionally associated with boys.

When I think of a tomboy I also think the girl usually likes to dress and hang out with boys over girls maybe?

In any case panda said he liked the word because he dug the "two opposing forces inside of a person" aspect of it I think? I am def paraphrasing that but yeaa...

hmm. yeah i knew the literal sense of what a tomboy is, just didn't know what panda was trying to convey with that in his album as a theme. sorry kinda worded that shitty.

That reason totally makes sense though. Like a confliction and competition internally. I read a few interviews from the era and he talks a lot of about golf and competition between you and only you, so tomboy works in that sense.

I like how "tomboy" implies both an inner conflict as well as a conflict with societal norms. fits the music quite well

This probably doesn't help at all but Panda said in this interview that Tomboy is about Black Sabbath's Master of Reality album lol

So last night as I was leaving this shitty townie bar near where I live I queued Alvin Row on the jukebox. Unfortunately one of my friends was driving and wanted to leave so I didn't get to see the reactions =( My friend also put up Echoes by Pink Floyd after it

Went to an AC dj show last night and I got some info. The whole "DJ tour" thing is so they can finance a tour and album? Something about financing. This year is in fact the year when AC plays new shows, avey said in the fall they'll most likely be touring. Talked to deakin about his album and he said it should be done by June and out by the end of the year. The couple of AC songs they played, Daily Routine and a dubbed out Queen in my Pictures, are actually exclusive deakin remixes for these shows, apparently deak loves to remix old songs of theirs? Geologist is also super skinny now.

I'm skeptical of a fall tour and even moreso of Deakin's album coming out before the end of the year (sorry Deaks) but just the fact that he actually gave a timeline and said it'll be done soon is promising.

And the Queen in my Pics was like the original version with a dubby bass beat on it, it was really really damn good actually and I asked if they where gonna release these and avey said maybe there was some surprises coming. I'm personally thinking they're gonna do a whole reissuing past stuff type of thing with bonus tracks etc.

oh and DJ seems very lucrative because this show was very very packed, like they had their stage full of us dancing plus the whole venue itself was full too

Raising the money for writing and studio time themselves to me seems to be preferable to relying on Domino's advance, and being in debt.

They've been sharing mixes for years for free, so I think DJ'ing is something they would actually enjoy.

For what it's worth they looked like they where having a blast. Deakin is an incredible dancer, so much energy. Also I'm like 80% they where at least a little drunk cause they where drinking Budweiser tall boys the whole time

Did you guys use any hashtags in the liked photos? Maybe they weren't creeping on your profiles specifically but instead they were searching for certain topics, or maybe even just searching for Campfire Songs in roopn's case
