Im crappy, i wanna crap shit lol
I love Buoys a lot. I like it during the colder months, its a summer album for the wintertime. Still can't really get into Master though. Maybe its tempo is too sluggish.

ah master was one of the first i got into. i was tripping balls at his show in boston in 2018 when he was debuting them live. when master came on, think it was called calling in sick back then, i couldnt stop thinking how much i loved this goofy goober panda bear and kept picturing him singing "i want to tell youuuuuu..." drunkily in the shower

I appreciate ac's silly side . I like a lot of masters parts but as a whole i dont really like how they add up. I dont skip it or anything though

Master's the only song I regularly skip. I like the live version though, with more vocal effects and the louder piano and extended outro

Yeah idk what P bear was thinking leaving the outro off the album version. Feel like it added a lot to the live version. It's also one of the only tracks I skip on the album, one of the only tracks where the upfront vocal production just feels like too much and detracts from the song.

This is debatable what im about to say that studio is better or worse than live. Although yes live they do add more than what studio wouldnt have. So its really not a debate but more so of that nature. And vice versa ...

Master is probably my fave with ikidk and buoys. perfect chord progression and structure, favorite lyrics maybe with I know. It's his most tender since nadir/selfish Gene or cheap treats

I didn't really connect with the live version of Master but the studio version is wonderful. Love the production

This album is one of the most consistent AC records ever. He absolutely nailed what he wanted to do with it and every song is a winner, albeit in only slightly different ways.

Yeah fair, it's a great record. Even the demoitis was mild, like stage 1.
quick maybe wrong setlist: folks w/ motorcycle, comfy, buoys, home free, flight, dolphin, IKIDK (with new intro?), potm, cosplay
i will probably split this up later today

I like that he sings the POTM lyrics at the end of Flight. Not sure if he always does that but it's the first time I've noticed

you know i expected to feel that way about the motorcycle in NttF but it turns out it's sorta improved without feeling that performer/audience tension in a proper boot. i'm maybe glad it's not on the digital EP.
also on the buoys tracks the sub bass is weaker here than on the record, right? which i think makes things feel a little bit off

Hey everybody here is an extremely hasty and by all rights probably lousy chop job, but, for folks too eager to wait, here yah go:
Liking the A Colina stuff, but imo nothing really beats the album versions. I think he and Rusty did a fantastic job with nailing so many of the things that are great about the live versions while maintaining studio nuances. The vocals are also done so well. I love how the harmonies are still present throughout the album but they're stacked in a way that you can hear each individual voice track. Compared to last efforts where they were kinda smeared together. I still love certain things about the live performance but even during the live performances there are aspects that I miss about the studio versions.
I think the Homies songs are a little better live though lol

Having a ton of fun reading this thread and the Cows release thread. I can’t wait until the 2021 LP track list drops so we can go nuts speculating once again

I listened to buoys sooo much when it was released that I rarely visit it at the moment. It's still easily one of the best releases of last year though. I wish it received the press that pbvsgr got

I would say I love this record but it hasn't had the staying power with me that others like cows or PBVGR have had. I don't revisit very often but when I do I always enjoy it. I have to be in a very specific sort of mellow mood
