Since when does having platinum albums define how good an artist is? I'm quite sure there's a lot of untalented artist with platinum albums. I don't mean to offend anyone that does enjoy his music. As AC fans, we of all fans, understand that music is defined only by the listener and not by the success of an artist. I personally just don't think Beck is that exiting to top AC for a main stage performance at any musical fest.

Well of course record sales has a lot to do with the order in which artist play in at fest. I'm not contesting that. I'm just saying in general, because an artist has millions of records sold doesn't automatically make them great! I mean look at Garth Brooks, he holds the record as most sold albums by a solo artist of all time in the US.... is he talented or a great writer or just really smart at knowing how to sell and advertise albums?

He's been writing like that in his IG captions since at least 2013, so I think it is just his style of writing paired with his love of making up words and being cryptic
And I totally agree. Instagram has been their/our saving grace as far as social media goes. It's so cool to see Dave's hints at new music as well as his other creative outputs besides music. I would love to see what he'd do if he took a couple years off from writing and performing music and focused solely on visual art

It would be cool if the band ran that account from now on, maybe for more promotion etc, but they could've had avey log into the account just for one random post
