This is been on repeat for me these last couple of days. It brings me comfort and a reminder that there are still many beautiful things in our world, especially art and music.
Thank you again Deakin for a brilliant record. I hope I can see you perform live soon!

I see what you mean, but given how low key the release was it actually did pretty well with reviews and interviews and stuff

Man Id kill for an Animal Collective album that is influenced by Sleep Cycle. In the same vein that MPP was influenced by Person Pitch.

Interestingly, he wrote a song called "Only An Avey Bear Tong" for Centipede Hz but they didn't include it on the album

it sounded too similar to happy singing band and they didnt want to sell out / re-capitalize on the fame gained from that song.

Golden Chords is the strongest song on the album, that's why.

if anyone missed out on Deakin's Keep shoes the first time they've been reissued:
I just bought a replacement pair for mine which have started to wear thin from overuse, some of the best shoes I've ever had

Since you've owned them- do they feel fragile? they look super comfy but i feel like i'd puncture them easily

by scrambledgreggs
they never punctured, the wear and tear mostly resulted in the fabric coming apart from the seam at the sole. I wore them all over the place though, both in the rainy city and on hikes/in sand/etc and they held up pretty well

I punctured mine on an outlier part of a wire fence
Agree really comfy! But not super durable

I have an extra, unopened Harpy Sketches cassette because I bought two pairs of the shoes. does anyone on here want it? all I'd ask is that you pay for the shipping from Seattle
edit: it's been claimed!

it's in it's best intention i'd hope, even at least a CD or a 10" or something. Just something more than a preordered cassette select few ordered yknow?
Although, i don't know.
This doesn't look to be released via Domino though, they may have a distribution through their Shopify via My Animal Home, so that's a good chance.
Although, i don't know. Any other sauce for this you know of? either way - sleep cycle ALWAYS deserves a bump up in any feed.
