it sounds like they are segueing into also frightened at the end of bleed on ballet slippers, but then the bleeps of guys eyes are fading in. smooth edit though.

Respectfully suggest you skip that if its typical youtube/iPhone quality and listen to the Brooklyn steel performance
Split and everything. The whole boot kicks ass though
respectfully denied skipping since i specifically linked that vid because the jeremy on the drum breakdown here is more dynamic and sounds soo much better than how they play it in brooklyn, and they dont sing the i dont want no hbo nonsense in tampa, but thats not to say you shant listen to it since i think you should since nyc taper always sounds BYOOTIFUL and the performance in brooklyn was amaze (i was there !!! 201 FOREVS) but its def worth first listening to the first time the brought it back especially as a fight song on the night of the election squaring up in the face of adversity (ill stand here wit my pride and fight AND SUCH)

I thought it was distinctly WWIWS that they start to go into after bleed. which is kinda cool even tho Sky isn't on it.

Sky is after Rabbit.
RE: live painting: they released three live shows which cover a lot of songs, most of the old reworked stuff. A physical release would feel even more unnecessary than Ballet Slippers, I think.

Agreed. As far as official live releases go, I think the era is already well-represented. Let's get some early Feels / early SJ live stuff going! But I'd enjoy anything that's released.

Respectfully, I'd already looked it up and watched the Tampa video before I saw either of your posts

This is such an amazing-sounding recording for an audience boot
Didn't nyctaper do the People Party DVD, or was that someone else? If so, mad props on staying in the game and releasing this beaut

People Party was done by user Eat Tapes/former poster Schlacking. NYC Taper is a group of recorders and have been a huge part of AC bootleg history.

I was at that show. I remember trying to figure out what song they were playing and freaking out when I realized what was happening.
Tampa isn't the greatest city and very few bands ever make it there, so to be a part of that moment was pretty awesome.

Same here with the Jacksonville show. That Pride and Fight was unreal. Would love a boot of that. First time I really noticed Avey acting as a "host" in a live show. Very talkative, energetic and interactive.

Yo thanks again for posting this show, still getting so much mileage out of it
This is the best live Kids on Holiday I think I've heard across all eras

Yeah I love how he did the (seemingly random) vocalizations at the beginning of the song. They nailed those in 2017 on the Sung Tongs tour.

Just checked this out and a couple of highlights are "Daily Routine" and "Who Could Win a Rabbit". Panda fucking killed it on both songs, and the way his and Avey's vocals overlapped and looped over one another on the latter was goddamn incredible.
I also love how in the last 3 minutes of "Daily Routine" it becomes a game of how long Panda can sustain a note until the sample comes crashing down with thunderous volume. That's what really makes the song so interesting.

Yeah listened to Lablakely Fireworks the other day at work full blast closing time and it was a fiesta of a jam. Man that peak is just otherworldly must say. The buildup and the av screams. Of course nothing we havent heard before. Just another rendition.

Daily Routine, Rabbit and Banshee Beat are probably the highlights on the whole thing for me, the former 2 for the same reasons you said Tesla.
I slept on original MPP boots and didn't discover the wonder of the 2nd half of Daily Routine live until the first shows of the PW tour in Philly and Jersey where I was just totally fucking floored (and like...orgasmed? sorry) at those massive fucking chord changes at the end. Like fuck. I didn't know that was a thing, tho I guess it goes back to '07. It's on MPP but like way different.
Anyway, Rabbit is insane, and is like it's own fucking song separate from ST and Banshee makes me weep. Their reworks for that show were special indeed.
love this record. its a way for me to spin MPP again in a way that is new, cuz I love MPP forever but like strait up don't spin it for years cuz yknow I like listened to it so goddamn much in my moms van w/ friends in high school like we all did so yeah. I should put it on every Jan 20th tho.

At the end of the day I'd wager 95% of fans of AC (including more casual fans) don't care much about digging through old recordings posted on a board somewhere. It's nice having live versions in great quality on the streaming service where you can't lose it if you're a klutz like me. I personally never dug too much into the MPP boots but everything I've heard on this album compared to what I've heard in the past is on par with what I'd expect. Which is to say it's great and I think the transitions and such are well done. I never stumbled across stuff like this slower Banshee Beat so I appreciate it just from that angle. Sure there are some more egrigious emissions like Chocolate Girl on here but I still think there's good variety

i'd wager that if we didn't already have such a great quality BBC choco girl, it would've been included here for sure. i would've been stoked to hear what it transitioned into..

Oh yeah, another thing is that a lot of the transitions are obviously done in post (because they were recorded at different venues) but it sounds seamless. I also love that there's one moment where the intro to "What Would I Want Sky" starts up before it moves onto another song - I think "Summertime Clothes". The way they pieced this album together is super interesting because it gives a kind of unpredictable feel and it's all over the place in a way that is so interesting. Even if you're familiar with some of the songs on the album, you might not recognise them for a good 2 or 3 minutes.
They constantly impress me as a band that constantly remakes their own songs and adds things to them. I love that about them.

I think the tease and subversion method gives the album a looser, more mixtape feel but I really don't dig it. I do like how the album follows the loose structure of MPP though. Very fitting for a companion piece.
