"What’s immediately striking is how much of this detail spills out in Waves’s opening few minutes, in scenes that barely amount to scenes. It’s all captured by a camera that spins and pans in circles, giving us images that evoke entire experiences—a visual world dizzy with sense-memory, music, color. That’s the rush of youth you’re feeling as we whip between two young lovers going wild to Animal Collective. When the screen is awash in flashing reds and blues, you’re right to feel fear; you’re right to sense the obvious portent."

No way it’s a new song it’d be on ASCAP by now I’m sure.

The first half of this film is literally so chaotic but in a really good way. The opening credits are sick, but I can’t tell if that’s just because I like Floridada by Animal Collective.

Oh cool, may have to see that if it comes here.
Also fingers crossed we get an EP from Avey or digital Homies release in October.

Nah. They gotta release something soon to hype the upcoming shows. It's just gonna come without warning one of these days.

I honestly like that new Panda Bear more than anything off of Buoys. It's basically the same type of songwriting, I realise, and it was probably something originally meant to be on the album, but I like the way it sounds so much more.

Don't forget we will probably get sleep cycle vinyl soon. He was posting about test pressings awhile back.

Couldn't give less fuck about Sleep Cycle vinyl but pumped that new AC is probably only a month away.

Really? It sounds exactly like a song off of Buoys with different production.

yeap read that on the stereogum article about the 2 songs, they added it as a correction after putting out the article. I don't know where their info is taken from
Hello! I havent posted in a bit so just thought id offer a little summer update of sorts. Lots of sounds in the works. Gonna hit you all soon with some live tracks from the Cows tour. Also I just finished mixing a new EP i hope to get out there later this year. All of those waiting for 2017’s lost jams will be pleased. Currently deep in the music with Panda, Deakin, and Geo. Cant wait to see you AC heads on tour this fall. Hope everyone is finding joy this Summer.
Seems like it'd be a no-brainer to release it ahead of the tour, especially since it's already mixed.

Only downside of releasing Midnight Special before the tour is that it might be so good they just retire.

i'm definitely not on the side that considers Sleep Cycle to be a top tier release but i'm excited to have it on vinyl nonetheless!
