Cows don't look like cows on album covers, you have to use horses.

He made the Eucalyptus material in 2014 and was apparently unsure if it would ever come out though. We have no idea if it’s a similar case with Down There. In all likelihood that 2011 stuff was probably b-sides to down there.
You’re making some leaps, sorry Jetski
I don't have a source (and it could've been from just talking to Avey after a 2011 show), but my understanding was that he started these songs along with the Down There material and abandoned them somewhere in the process for various reasons before returning to and finishing them for the tour. So I'd agree that they're definitely linked to Down There, but it's hard to pinpoint which components came before DT and which were after.
Re: the album, I'm super excited this is real and will be out so soon! But what I reallllly want right now is a tracklist lol
It's interesting to me that it sounds like Avey recorded it himself without an engineer (unless they were just omitted from this writeup), and on a reel-to-reel tape machine when, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most AC-related albums tend to be done digitally. Maybe it's just me, but this method isn't at all what I would've expected from the Mothlight/Eucalyptus tour material. But whatever it is, I'm sure it will sound great and I'm excited to hear it!

Can someone help me get all these Avey live songs in order. Are the Mothlight songs the same as the Eucalyptus tour songs that weren’t on the album? Did any of them make their way to the music box shows? Does anyone know where Sea of Light came from? Too many new songs to process.

From what I know...
Mothlight only
Midnight Special
Taken Boy
Disc One/Disc Two
Doctor No
Uncle Doughnut
Mothlight + Eucalyptus tour
Sew Happy
Eyes on Eyes
The Aging Heart
Red Light Water Show (definitely Mothlight, and I think it was reported as played at a Eucalyptus show or two)
Eucalyptus tour only
Enjoy the Change
Ono Lemonade
Saturdays
The Mayan
[Derriere]
[My Goal]
Edit: None of these were played at Music Box and I really don't know how Sea of Light factors in because it was performed with panda on the Sung Tongs tour.

None of that stuff was played at the music boxc show and Sea of Light was only played at those Sung Tong shows in 2018.

Thanks for the info. I think part of my confusion is that I have older titles for some of these songs? For the Mothlight songs I’ve got:
Right Now
Happy Daze
Dream of Choice
Eyes
Disc One
Baby’s Not Home
Uncle Doughnut
Me and the Bubble
Red Light Water Show
Cemeteries (Down There, I know)
Also I think maybe he changed the sound of some of the songs? If Happy Daze is SSew Happy, it definitely sounds different now.

Yeah, I can understand the confusion...there were the fan made names and then Avey gave out his own ones somewhere down the line. It's crazy how some were exactly what we'd named them and others were still quite close.
Fan Names = Avey Names
Right Now = Midnight Special
Happy Daze = Sew Happy
Dream of Choice = Taken Boy
Eyes = Eyes on Eyes
Disc One = Disc One/Disc Two
Baby’s Not Home = Doctor No
Uncle Doughnut = Uncle Doughnut
Me and the Bubble = The Aging Heart
Red Light Water Show = Red Light Water Show
Sew Happy is definitely the most reworked from Mothlight to Eucalyptus tour. He slowed it wayyyy down and it's not quite the same structurally, either.

this is so phantasmic. this album could/will be massive and deep .
all I care about is Mayan cuz that songs already changed my life a bit so a studio would be nice. And then I hope the best Mothlight tracks make it... never heard em but people talk about those tracks in the same way ppl do about the Music Box songs, which I can personally vouche for containing some of the best material the boys have done, along with Mayan. sooooo
this is gonna be great )))))))))))))))

Holy freakin' mackerel. I can tell by the font alone that this is going to be some retro-future psychedelic wonder. I can tell by the words–I assume that's Avey writing–that he's proud of this one. I get the impression that he's gone back to the source ("Water had to find its way back into the ground again."), back to the good ol' days when he was enthralled with music for the music's sake... "The music moves out in the way it did years ago." (!) All this talk of grass and mossy roofs and robots... "It's capsizing us into a jangle of light guitar strum and hum of sweet tunings." (!) He's gone home ("To leave it or see it fall.") to play in the dirt.
We're in for a real, organic, trippy treat, folks! Color me giddy.

that art is so damn cool. i wonder if avey made it? crossing my fingers that it's the album cover... the text makes me excited too.
"Cows on Hourglass Pond" creates really sweet imagery in my head. the title has to be a nod to this movie. it's one of my favorites that the AC crew has led me to discover
title is weirdly evocative Cody, that movie looks super creepy. feel like Avey is getting into a very good mode and I like it. but I need it now

The second show i saw in new york last fall, at elsewhere space, he played a whole different set of new songs than he did the week before at the other venue. i think i counted like 15 new ones between the two. havent found a boot from that night and i didnt write any of the names down :/

would be wild if all these songs were from the elsewhere show then. recorded just a month and a half after potentially writing them.
