For no reason other than I can't stop jamming these, here are my rankings:
Buoys
Calling in Sick
Dolphin
Home Free
Crescendo
I Know I Don't Know
And, for what it's worth, I Know I Don't Know is also my dog's least favorite
Excited to hear Sabbath, Woken, and Cranked but maybe I should wait for the album/EPs.

and somehow there's 3 more songs beyond those also? crazy
i cant tell if the amount of songs does or doesnt contradict that earlier rumor/intel where he told someone at a show he had "2 sets of (smaller?) songs"? i guess i just assumed the 2nd batch would be the size of Homies but I guess that was just a guess, and theres 1-4 more songs than homies... so thats cool. him and avey are both cooking up amazing guitar-ish albums

that info was from a long time ago, during painting with tour, it prob was around the size of homies and then he wrote a few more since to fill it out

Didn't Pete come on here and confirm an LP? He confirmed nine songs anyways and the post he was quoting also guessed it was an album

Whatever it is, I doubt that the release will be much longer than like 30 minutes based off of these song lengths. Either a sort of long EP or a tiny LP. Could be like Panda's Down There in that respect.

Hey everyone, just to clear up some confusion: I talked to Noah after the Dallas show and he said Buoys is a 32-minute LP (IIRC... definitely thirty-something). Said they're just deciding on who they want to master it.

Sabbath was my favourite I think. Was that the one where we had the clip it link? Great song. I would love a proper boot of that.

Seeing Panda tonight in Chicago and I'm so fucking excited. I've never been able to not listen to the boots of new material before seeing it live, until now! I've only listened to Buoys in that high quality video. The rest of the new material will be totally fresh. I can't wait. And to see Geo!

awesome, thanks for the info. glad to hear it is an LP.
if it isn't mastered yet, though, that means we probably won't get the album til the fall at the earliest i feel like.

there's like 3 different threads i could talk about the new songs in the live thread but I guess I'll do it here since its centralized, but i keep noticing how the new songs he played ast the Mohawk keep ending up in my head. weird cuz none of them really seem as catchy as Buoy is immediately except maybe Home Sick but man they are creeping into my brain and are really kind of beautiful songs....
like how theyre a bit more fussy and complicated than pbvsgr are... its like with Homies, he did a harder, more structurally complicated/meandering take on Greaper songs, and now with this he's kind of left turning to make these songs that seem like a cross between his more rare ballad-y songs while still having beats.... love how some of the chord changes and melodies give me weird flashbacks to young prayer while not really outright sounding like that... jus tthis almost baroque quality. gonna dive back into those recordings. insane that there are 9....
this is like super-reaper era... its like reaper songs were these like revved up nursery rhymes and now were going deeper into that sound and getting bigger-than0ever bangers like Nod and Math and these awesome, through-composed pieces like Flight and the new songs which build on stuff like Tropic or Acid wash... mmmmmm so yummy. fuck me i love these songs. i want to see him again!!!! fuck fuck

Haven't listened to Woken, Cranked, Dolphin or Home Free yet and I'm trying to keep it that way for now, but I love all the songs I have heard. That little yodeling part in Calling in Sick is so beautiful.

Man these new tracks are lit lit lit! The new boots are so rad I'm losing it....
I've been chopping them up and eq'ing a bit, I think I've made an unofficial BOUYS live concept album to listen, I think we have all the tracks now??? 9 was the magic number?
There's such a nod to PP with the folky guitar, I love the way he's sampled the live strumming-- it's funny though like what if they are samples and we only think he played them cos of like 2 Insta posts from Rusty.....
I hear like an acoustic Tomboy production, but with the sung tongs guitar tone and rhythm, and the best of greaper/homies beat making.
Some songs could segue onto Eucalyptus too, that would be a sweet direction
Can't wait til it all drops

Dolphin
Woken
I Know I Don't Know
Cranked
Home Free
Sabbath
Crescendo
Buoys
Calling in Sick

Haha, yes! Plural. I asked about spelling and everything. "BOUY" was just a spelling error at first, because, according to him, "Who knows how to spell that word??" He just thought it was funny.

feel like we end up saying a lot of things like 'i want an album full of songs like (insert song)' and at some point someone must have asked for an lp full of Screens, and this isnt exactly that but its kiiiiinda that. it at least has that classic acoustic guitar sound mixed with these vaguely baroque-feeling ballady type compositions. but theyre also still kinda 'beats'. theres a lot of range in their mood and ive literally only heard half so ya but their all fire. i need to hear Sabbath...

Someone on spiritposting talked to Panda and he said the album will be out in September. I'm assuming it'll be later than that since he's usually early when he names release dates but still good to hear, I'm psyched that we could be getting it this year

This is excellent. And we made so many good acronyms, too.
Seeing The Bouy King tomorrow in Boston and so pumped, thanks to all these video teasers. This new stuff hits the spot.

If this is a ~32-min LP then it's gonna be so sick when we can mix and match tracks from this and Homies to make a longer album

Ya I get this. I feel like if I had to pick a single track that exemplified everything I love about that era I might pick Faces in the Crowd

There are so many ways to organize the greaper era tracks together. I have so many playlists! Especially with the two sets of practice sessions.

yo Faces is lo key his most like moving song in some ways to where i cant even listen to it much cuz it fills me with happiness and also sadness and like then starts to embarass me by how much im moved by it? idk its weird
but ya i strait up like the EP songs better than pbvsgr if i stack up next to each other (tho like cross/mr obviously overlap). but Faces, Jabba, NML, (Lisbon Zoo) are hands down my faves of the era, with Selfish Gene and Come to Your Senses kind of reining supreme in their own class. that would be my version of the album + tropic, lonely, acid. mmmmaybe mr noah and BBCM can come play 2
but ya maybe in terms of his bangers hes better at grouping like 15-25 min chunks now? will always love pbvsgr but it doesnt have my favorite flow as far as Lps go. But Homies is an amazing listen that i love doing all the way thru.
Buoys might change everything man. kinda love that im so stocked on a few tracks already and still dont even know Woken, Sabbath or other ones i've heard ppl say. this gonna be great
these pretty minimal beats + that dry-as-hell acoustic guitar chords and psuedo-baroque ballady panda sound is so fucking tasty. i also love how they sit next to the greaper/homies tracks at his shows rn, theyre like a breather from dance party insanity of his other songs (less corny than that sounds)

hope the mixing doesnt make the album sound as homogenous as greaper and tomboy - as much as i do in fact like the mixing on those albums.

God these new tracks are so cool.
I think the guitar timbre is giving me this kind of mysterious, lost-in-the-forest feeling; almost like led zeppelin at their acoustic, mandolinny best.
My faves: Dolphin, I Know I Don't, Woken, Buoys, Home Free, and Crescendo. I also like how most of the working titles are one word.

word, there almost no chance ill like any vocal take better than the one on that nice soundboard vid of him playing Buoys at one of the first shows that was professionally shot. that whole take is crushing
thats y its kinda sick theres a decent amount and hes rotating them a lot... think i only know the 5 he played at the show i saw and miiiiight try to keep it that way. so a mystery 4 for me if i can resist/avoid it. its really fucking sick how many songs he has in rotations right now. all bouys and homies, and choice greaper era selection and a couple tomboy cuts... he should consider benfica, would fit well
